Yeah and Quick is supposedly going to be out 3-4 months more then likely by that time the Kings will be out of the playoff picture at least Howard would give them a fighting chance more so then Pavelec would that's for sure.

Yeah, all they will need to do is a find a way to void Howards remaining years on his contract once Quick returns!

if WPG retains 25%-50% it wouldnt be a huge mistake since the contract is due on July 1st but I would have to say that he may not be the best GL outthere... most likely not the best option either (IE: NYI)

Yeah wondering why no one is mentioning him. Probably a first with a mid range prospect imo this early in the season.

Thats probably why then, we cant afford that, even if we could recoup some of the assetts at the deadline by moving him once quick is healthy, too risky.

foolish?

howard has 2 years left after this year, come on, who is better that they will be able to get from expansion or free agency?

It's foolish to lock yourself into 9 million over 2 years for a mediocre starter. Any free agent will be cheaper and their will be better options then Howard. Los Angeles would be dodging a bullet if they had the guarantee that the player they would lose in the expansion draft would be Howard. Hell Detroit should hang onto him if it's a lock.

Pavelec would probably look fine playing behind LA's defense and structure.

We have a goaltender in Vancouver who pretty much will only go to California
Contract is up at the end of the year so no multiple years of him being there if you so desire !
We're able to retain salary
Please take Miller

Hmmm. I wonder what the deal would look like.

Draft pick? Player? Contract dump?

I know people will think I'm crazy, but I feel like the Jets are fine with eating his salary. Kings might need to give up something more than a 7th to get Pavs. Then again, the Jets might just be happy that someone will take him, and then be willing to trade him. Personally, I'd want to keep him around because if someone goes down. I'm not sure Comrie is ready to play in the NHL

Man, this is funny to see. I was ripped apart for think that the Sharks MIGHT claim him off waivers. And now there's a chance someone is willing to trade for him?????? Once again boys and girls, never be surprised by anything these GM's do!!!!!

Does LA have anything that might package for Pav + Trouba and possibly more? How is that Forbort kid? How are the prospects? Any need of winger prospects?

I agree he is good on first save leaving juicey rebounds then having to make spectacular saves on 2nd and then way out of position on 3rd. Two yrs ago he was a .920 goalie when they tried to play with structure. I am in no hurry for him to leave, like that he is there just in case.

big difference between 3.9 and 1.95 though.. especially for a contending team.
