They can't continue to place 3rd liners with Pleks and Pacioretty. It never worked anywhere. I know they are looking for a 'puck digger' like Gally was, but you need TALENT there. Byron is a borderline NHLer. Playing on the first line, man.

3rd liner is generous for Byron. I would personally say 4th liner and maybe even AHL player if we forget the pk.

Dear god the last two weeks have been so ****ing frustrating. Since the Washington game, our puck luck is completely gone. We can't buy a goal. It never has. Therrien can never accept this. Always would rather have every line be equally useless than load up just one.

Yup. This isn't a slump. It's a collapse in the making. We see that often in Habs recent history. Hopefully it gets to a point where action is taken. Maybe even Therrien's job will be under fire. Cause right now, I don't know how we win more than 1 game on this 8 game trip upcoming. It's become disastrous. From 1st to 4th in a month and a half- the Michel Therrien without Carey Price story.

To be fair, the Habs puck luck at the beginning of the year was extremely high.

It's hard to watch. Rather see them get destroyed than this. It's mentally draining. But we better remind ourselves that it ultimately doesn't matter. Only playoffs games matter.

He has not been severely challenged for the most part. Can we still get Auston Matthews?

I think right now we have right system. Speed helps us. But our lack of finish is the key. I don't know what it is, a lack of IQ or maybe not getting dirty in those key areas that Gally was so good at doing?
