Watched this on replay (time zone stuff) and after 2 periods I kept telling myself "God damn, this game is so insanely boring. Can't even get a shot on net". When Slaf smashed into Caufield after his nice dangle, i was like, ya this game is toast. Glad I didn't waste much time on this horrendously boring and bad game. Yikes.

LA kings are like a machine that is well impregnated with oil, the tuning is good. It's because they measured themselves with the Oilers two years in a row and that today they are well "oiled'.
In guess trying to follow and stop McDavid and Drai is a good learning classroom.

With a very good chance at getting two more points on the way home..................winning two out of three in California was once, just a dream.
All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey
They had a game
On a saturday day
They'll be safe and win
If they were not in LA
California Dreamin'
On such a november day

Was to be expected. I had called a possible shutout for this game. Mediocre team, playing a 3rd game in 4 days, out west where we perennially stink, most of the team either injured on slumping... can't be surprised at the outcome.

Listening to Antichambre, and trying to remember... why did Habs fire Carbo? I remember something something not communicator...

I thought it had to do with Gainey thinking his sinking team was better then it was because of where they placed the year before and Price was struggling and he thought it had to do with how the team was playing in front of him.

Some teams focus on building heavy, skilled teams. Habs are the exact opposite when you see how many smallish players are not only in the current line up but in the entire prospect system. Habs were toyed with today, simple as that.
Don’t say that so loud. Some people will turn around and sarcastically say “ so they should draft all Michael McCarons’s instead?”

Paying 10m for an elite goaltender is overrated when your systems and D is so strong you can make an average goalie top 5

Just ask stanley cup winner Adin Hill
Whose the average goalie? Price? The best statistical goaltender in the 2010’s and carried one of the worst team to make the playoffs within 3 games of winning a cup?

Vancouver should be able to beat them. Far better goaltender. Probably need to add to the defense though.
Kings are much deeper and much better overall team without needing unsustainable PDO as well. Nucks 5-5 in their last 10, just lost to San Jose, Kings are 8-1-1. Demko is a great goalie but Nucks are not nearly as deep

The average goalie is Talbot, wasn't talking about Habs. The dude said Kings wouldn't go anywhere without a goaltender. Adin Hill begs to differ, on the Knights, another noted deep team like the Kings.

If you're asking who's the elite 10m goaltender I wasn't talking about Price, was thinking more Hellebyuck/Bob, I would love to have Price lol

It's the only one I could watch on the road trip:(
I thought the last two games were ugly. I'm glad I missed this one.
Reading the GDT was enough to convince me I was fortunate to have lost power all friggin' day.

Carbonneau's problem wasn't communication, it was strategy. He had the team play run and gun, it was very exciting, but unstructured... and when things went wrong, he blamed the players. "I can't do it for them, they have to work! Work work work!" But he never told then what he wanted them to do

Apart from the first Kings goal which was a real beauty, there's nowt much for LA fans to get excited about.

But then suffocating, mistake-free hockey is solid percentage stuff.
Kings fan gonna jump in here for a second. This was one of the most boring and out of sync game’s they have played in awhile and still managed to put up 4 goals on a back to back game. This game on an energy level was completely different vs Anaheim the night before. They have 17 players with 6+ points through the first 19 games of the season. I’m not worried about them.

Edit and rumors of a bad event with a young Price

Thanks.

No doubt. I switch to a Bond movie after the second. It was unbearable.

Bold Prediction:

If Dach, Monahan, and Suzuki are all back and healthy next season, this will be a good team that is fun to follow. They may even make the playoffs.
I think Dach best and most important player on this team .
Not only because of talent and scoring potential he brings , but mainly because he is the only player the habs currently has that can slow the game down and in games like last night vs a bigger more talented team this is what you need to have any chance at survival !

With a very good chance at getting two more points on the way home..................winning two out of three in Califonia was once, just a dream.
Exactly and for the whiners , can’t ignore the fact you without 3 regular dmen playing back to back against a huge sized defensive team.
When tired , always easier to play a wide open game then have to go into the trenches and fight for every puck

Kings average the most goals per game in the league sooo

They play the trap and score off of turnovers.

It's so boring to watch

Apparently the Kings were also on a back to back.
