Can't recall the last time I saw Kempe or Gaborik take a shift
Sutter benched them for not gooning it up against Tkachuck

Time for pond hockey. If I were coaching, I would send the message by starting Drew, Derek, Alec, Paul, and Jake, and then following with Adrian, Nic, Anze, Jeff, and Tyler!! Screw your positions!!!
The league strongly opposes that kind of thing these days, teams are hesitant to take revenge.
Can't wait for Elliot to fold up like lawn chair in the playoffs. That always brought me joy.
The Defense tonight has had so many breakdowns they've got Tom Petty stuck in their heads.
It's around his 40th game, it's about that time!
I'm embarrassed of this team. Whoever earlier said this looks like last year's SJ series is totally right. Just completely neutered in every way.
Because he acquired Bishop, saying there's no room for error to make the playoffs, and wants to give the best starting goalie possible every day until the end of the season.
Because he acquired a scoring winger to push the team over the edge.
Because he didn't sell.
Or do you know of some other GM who makes moves to try to make the playoffs while not believing the team is playoff caliber?
Is there a big mac for what the Kings are doing?
Kings get beat to every puck.
The Kings need to play like they are losing!! Take chances!! Early, and often!! All D waaaaaaayyyyy up on every play!!! Go for it!!!
I don't think Lombardi has trusted this roster since the end of last season. He didn't go above and beyond to keep Lucic. He signed a handful of guys to low cost, 1 year deals in the summer. One UFA goalie went in, one UFA goalie went out, one UFA winger went in, and one UFA winger went out, at the deadline. Got a pick for King, and moved up in the draft in the Tampa deal. To me, none of that says Lombardi has believed, for almost a complete calendar year, that this is a playoff team. The roster has burned him the last few years, and this year was a prove it year. They showed they weren't good enough.
