Even when this team has had a twelve game stretch without a powerplay goal, they still found ways to win games. It's nice to have had stellar goaltending in place with both our backups.

Matthews has 27 goals on the season and will run away with the goal scoring title this season. What a fantastic player all around, easily my favorite player over the last half decade.

Spezza gets it all going with his ninth goal of the season. He plays with heart, passion and determination every single game. He gets very limited ice time, but makes a difference whether it be a big goal or a huge faceoff win, he's done it all season long. Absolutely love him. I hope he comes back next season.

Campbell is superb. I'm glad to see him getting the opportunity to be our starting goaltender. What a story he's been.

Tavares with another goal, glad he's making me eat my words as of late.

Love this team.

The review of Magiapane's high-stick has to be the most confusing thing I've seen yet. I understand game management and incompetence even if it annoys me. They can't rescind the penalty on Magiapane if it was a Leafs stick that hit Hyman. So, what is there review, if Hyman is blading like wrestlers? Hiding blood capsules in his glove?

I was saying earlier tonight how you can really tell he has high end defensive pedigree. Kind of like when you watch Jason Spezza out there. The way Bogosian can truck out there and cover so much ice, the way he walks the line and moves the puck while built like a linebacker. You can see glimpses of where he could have been a franchise defenseman had he been a little healthier.

Agreed. Reminds me of Ryan McDonagh sometimes.

Oh just wait, he won't be considered a 50 goal player on the mains even after winning the rocket this year and like 3 goals off with 20 games to go last year lol.
I'm not worried about mains. Hes clearly developed into a very special centreman. Still always improving and his leadership this year is a breath of fresh air. Even Marner.

Very happy.

Calgary is in some trouble. Their "best" players looked mostly invisible, they have a pricey goalie who is no better than the backup, and the best idea they can come up with to fix things is to recycle Darryl Sutter and hand him a three-year deal in desperation. Yikes.

1. Congratulations one Mr. Jack Campbell.
2. I will not comment on the referring of this game. My mother taught me if I have nothing good to say, 'tis better to say nothing at all.
3. Tavares is back. While he was sporting a bad shooting percentage, he's now potting a few and his stick handling is dangerous as...good to see you, John.
4. AM doing AM things.
5. We have two top Cs starting to click at the same time, this is a good thing.
6. Even when pressured they're looking calm.
7. We scored a power play goal! Who'd a thunk?

8. A balmy 30 degrees here, have been up since 5.30 am to do the Masters pool with my buds back in TO. I like my team. Soon off to pick up my new irons and driver, then off to the range to see if I wasted money. Life is good. Be well everyone, enjoy your night.

Tkachuk who is usually noticeable for a bunch of reasons was a ghost until the last 90 seconds.

I wrote the league tonight with regards to Graham Skilliter and his corruption, also made a post on facebook's Leaf page asking others to write in as well... Please guys, lets report this guy on the TJ Brodie/Lucic trip that was right in front of his face as he was looking at it happening and never called it... contact them here! Contact Us - NHLOA

The only time I noticed Monahan and Gaudreau was when Sutter spilt them up... lol.

THE GOOD: History Jack ties Felix 9W's in a row. History Spezz bangs home #350. Another solid night for JT's line, Willie wants to play, Chucky looks like a guy who wants to play and JT looks like a guy who wants to play with them. Don't look now but Matty is about to take the team points lead, get on your horse Magic

THE BAD: 3 goals against? Jack sleeping or something:sarcasm: Flames looking like a Sutter team, lot's of dirt, lot's of 1-3-1's, lot's of L's

THE UGLY: Slew Footing is still allowed against the Leafs, I really wasn't sure anymore, because we haven't seen much of it lately, the Bruins are good at it, as are the Canadiens, good to see Calgary has been warmly welcomed into the club, the NHL must surely be proud of this remarkable achievement. I swear to god Gary one of these days POW ZOOM to the MOON!

wins in a row by a goaltender, he ties Felix and Jacques

10 is the start of the season record 93 team

I think it's 9 wins in a row to start a season. Potvin blasted off 9 wins in the 10 game winning streak to start 1993-94.
