Great depth player
Plays a hard and heavy and clean game for the most part.
Has a good scoring touch for a bottom 6.
On the surface it seems like he can stay healthy.
He gets an A rating for this season.

The goalies reaction is priceless, just an exasperated "what now?". Tough season for Philly goalies so far.

that combo of head shakes and swatting at the nearest sentient being is the most cat-like behavior i've seen in a while on NHL
hes like the 2011 version of maxim lapierre without the trash talk. very capable of chipping in 15-20 goals and getting players of their game. i would love to see once boston vrs canucks this season take marchand off his game

This guy is a $4M player on a $1.5M contract. It sucks we couldn’t get him longer as he’s going to get paid on his next contract, but so happy we have him. What a player.
If Sherwood hadn't been such a pain in the ass for the Canucks in last spring's series with the Preds, I'm not sure Allvin would have prioritized signing him.
But what a pickup!.....leading the NHL in hits by a wide margin; and playing up and down the lineup; killing penalties; he's doing it all for a bargain contract.
Already a fan favorite the legend of Kiefer Sherwood is only going to continue to grow.

I'm repeating myself but give this man a seven year extension yesterday. He's not allowed to leave.
If the team put their egos in check and put out a nightly effort like him there wouldn't be any issues.
if 22 other guys had the heart and grit of sherwood most nights they be winning alot of games most nights with the kind of effort he puts out there. hits everything that moves. has an underatted shot to boot and is fast.
The only thing I'm worried about is he runs out of gas at the end of the year.
Seems like he skates hard and fast every shift.
But he was a pest against us in the playoffs so perhaps he just has the stamina to play that way all year.

i was thinking the same, how long will he be able to keep this up
maybe in the new year he will "tone it down and save it for the playoffs IF canucks do make it.
