HC Sochi presented their logo

http://www.sovsport.ru/news/text-item/727179

IMO not bad, good colors. Especially the green-purple-blue ones =))) No, seriously, its not the best logo ever, but I like it.
Looks good. Are they shipping via UPS? :)

I was expecting the logo to be red and white (because of the seats in Bolshoy), but I like the stripes representing the krai!

I think that the sochi logo is horrible. On the KHL facebook page it is getting lots of negative feedback too.

I have a question about KHL jerseys. My friend recently got a Riga jersey, and the name and number weren't sewn or pressed on, but the jersey fabric actually made the name and number (I assume it was dyed?). Is tho how actual KHL jerseys are or are they stiched?

To answer your question on the KHL jersey your friend received, he got a sublimated fan jersey it's basically a less expensive choice for someone who might really want to pay the $165 for the stitched pro version, Some teams do actually use the dye sublimated pro jerseys for their uni's though like for example Barys Astana uses a dye sublimated pro jersey.

This is so much better. Some people just don't understand marketing. The odd weirdo will like that other logo, but it wont appeal to the masses -its utter crap, ask any graphic designer about the flaws in that thing. I am curios to who comes up with this and even worse, who looks at it and approves it.

(edited) This red-white-blue one also sucks in my opinion. There's something there perhaps with the blue thing in the back, some roundish blue thing okay sure... but the cougar is just ugh wtf. I could see an alternative logo on the side patches being a red-ish paw-print of a cougar in a blueish circle. But for the main logo there needs to be more work.

Another question should be weather or not there should be another blue-red-white color team. Perhaps other colors would be better. Or if these are around, it should at least be more different than say CSKA's color scheme.

(edit/added):

I don't mean to be beating a dead horse...

But there is this... http://sport.khabkrai.ru/images/Sport/Tiger.png
And then someone posted this, http://u.jimdo.com/www64/o/s06277fe62486bf06/emotion/crop/header.jpg?t=1377604745

The second link shows a very different logo. compared to the first, I find the second one quite repulsive.

The Armenians in Sochi will love it.

[Armenians 28% of population of Sochi, followed by Russians and Greeks]

Sorry bro, but you're late for more than a century with that information.
Those numbers are from 1897. Now there are about 70% of Russians and 20% of Armenians.

That's how you do a logo! Sick of these bear and lion and tiger heads everywhere.
Well, that logo is from the 70s.

And Sibir's new crest, for all it's worth, is inspired by the one they used back in the 80s.

I really like this retro-trend (started by none other than SKA) and hope that one day Chelyabinsk and Ufa will follow the same route by bringing
Traktor_01-188x200.png
and
Salavat_Yulaev_36-200x200.png
back.
