Revolutionary Positivity
A lot of people are in for a shock when they see Yandle and Risto play, especially if they were under the impression that Ghost represented bad defense.
Just waiting for the veteran grinder signing that will see Frost start the season in the press box.
Last three seasons18 of his 27 points last year came on one of the nhl most lethal pp on one the nhl best teams. Of his 24 assists 16 were secondary. Ghost had 20 points, 9 being on the pp. And had 6 more goals than yandle. Not to mention yandle even strength analytics are God awful while ghost are all positive. Stop this narrative. It's flat out wrong.
He was signed to that contract by another team. We acquired it, willfully.
He left here, then went on to sign a deal worth only 60% of that deal the next year. The fall off was real, and everyone knows it. Except AV, who is making him his Tanner Glass.
I got a great bottle of bourbon that says he dresses more than 50 games this year. You in?
Sure. Except I'm broke, so you'll have to weigh the wager by our relative incomes (relative risk).

Last three seasons
Yandle
134 points
78 on the PP
900K
Ghost
69 points
28 on the PP
4.5 million
There is no ''narrative'' here, just facts that prove me right and prove you wrong. You can ignore them, try to spin them, and move the goal post all you want but it doesn't change the reality of the situation that Yandle is significantly more productive at a fraction of the cost.
I managed to publish and perish.
Real problem is life throws curve balls, I've had more than my share.

Doesn't really matter who's the better player because Ghost is not five times better than Yandle and that's the difference in cap hit. And that's the reason why Yandle at 900k on the Flyers makes sense and Ghost at 4.5m doesn't.I forgot that points are the only thing that goes into a hockey game. 3 years ago is completely irrelevant information for a guy yandle age. Using last year as the closest indicator even the points aren't pretty. And I'd you want to look at the analytics for even your beloved 3 years Yandle is a black hole and Ghost is a positive player. It's honestly not even close Ghost is the better player today by a country mile. Prime for prime maybe not. But yandle is 5 years past his prime.

Yandle on Sportsnet talking about how Laughton tried to prank him yesterday and how he's working on a prank war with him now.
Seems like a good guy. Hopefully he brings something positive on the ice.
Good authentic morning!
They are both offensive defenseman who earns their paychecks by producing points and mainly on the PP. The fact that Yandle has been so much more productive than Ghost in recent years is absolutely significant. Nevermind the fact that Ghost is making 4.5 million and Yandle is barely over the league minimum at 900K.
Fine, we can look at the last two years.
Yandle
72 points
39 PP points
0.576 ppg
47 points per 82 gms
Ghost
32 points
13 PP points
0.385 ppg
32 points per 82 games
Yandle was also more productive than Ghost last year.
So if Yandle's points weren't pretty last year what does that say for Ghost considering Yandle out produced him 27 to 20 and 18 to 9 on the PP.
Analytics are for nerds who would rather look at charts and abstract drawings than actually watch a few games outside of their own market and judge players by what actually happens on the ice.
Yandle had two of the most productive years of his career in 17-18 and 18-19 with 56 and 62 points. Again, he is an offensive defenseman / PP specialist who earns his pay check based on point production.
You got anything else I can pick apart.
It's insane to prefer a better dman?
I'm surprised there isn't a German compound word summarizing the spirit of that quote.
