I think the Flyers moves this offseason scream culture-change. I'm concerned that the culture-change acquisitions all seem to be best friends with Philly's favorite doberman aka Kevin Hayes, but I feel that's what's happening here as well.

He's made over $60M in his career and had a chance to play with one of his best friends.

It's pretty easy to see why he could take less money when it pretty certain he wasn't getting $4M offers out there.

It's a pretty 'meh' signing from the Flyers' standpoint. But it is a bit weird that they've brought in two guys close to Hayes. If anyone did believe that the team needed a shift in the room, I'm not sure of the reasoning to shift it towards Hayes.
