If this was offered to Pronger and he refused it because of that, then we're totally f***ed.

At least Pronger has some experience in orgs from a management level & has been in other organizations much longer than Philly, so he barely counts as "old boys club" in any way.

I don't know if he was offered the job but he did mention that he didn't like the job because of the power structure (I'm sure there's a better word to use here).

Pronger would have been a good choice. He's not really a "Flyer" and seems like a no nonsense kind of guy. I always respect people who just lay things out good/bad/ugly, I can't stand the fakery/yes men mentality.

Seems like the Flyers want a culture of yes men.

Looks like they the confidence monitor behind the stage covered with a jersey lol

They need enough seats for all the golfing buddies.
Coatsey's gonna ride in on his Golf Cart they gifted him

more seats

I am most excited to hear what assistant hockey ops president John Tortorella has to say.

If this group was in charge of helping Danny get the ring to Mordor they wouldn’t make it 30 feet out of Rivendell.

That's probably the hardest insult I've heard about this triumvirate so far. I can feel the second-hand burn.

I will enjoy hearing what a new concept this is. A new era. Get ready for that.

A lot of newness with the same Flyer country club, and horseshit beliefs.

Hiring 2 morons into head FO positions, and giving power to an asshole head coach. Wow. What ground breaking strategy.

I’ll tell you something. I believe. The rest of the NHL is going to follow suit shortly.

It isn't going to be either brilliant or a disaster. If going to be a disaster. There's the only possible outcome.

They don't want to be modern physical. They want to get 2000 physical.
I would give the same odds as the Flyers' draft lottery.
  • Slight success — 6.5 percent
  • Success — 6.7 percent
  • Complete, unadulterated success — 0.2 percent
  • Status quo — 44.4 percent
  • Failure — 36.5 percent
  • Off-the-cliff failure — 5.6 percent
