She was visibly upset in the first intermission after they talked about the Rangers / Devils line brawl. Like red in the face upset. I understand her perspective, but this is what the league is. Maybe she should cover a different league?

I disagree with most of her takes when it comes to physicality.

Poor woman.

Probably frigid

Getting upset about physicality in a team sport is silly. It's a completely unavoidable aspect of every team sport, let alone professional hockey.

You can’t expect a young goalie to get 1 start every 5/6 games and be at the top of his game.
Samsonov is a great goalie one period and lets in 3 softies the next.
Goaltending will sink this team once again. Doesn’t matter if matthews gets 90 goals goalies have been our Achilles heel.
If we get this goaltending by Samsonov and Woll in the playoffs we are one and done again.

Keefe is Keefe.

Reaves, Matthews and Benoit are the only ones to show up tonight.

Reading a Bolts thread is a what’s what of - tell me you know nothing about hockey, without telling me you know nothing about hockey.

Woll is more of a fence than anything.

Lots not to like tonight...

I am repeating myself, but I hate that 3rd line. It is virtually useless.

I am getting concerned with Knies ability to bring anything at this point. I would let him sit out a few games down the stretch just to get re-energized.

Tavares and Nylander were horrid. Absolute gross incompetence on display from them tonight. For Nylander it is effort. Tavares is more done than not. Next season is going to be rough.

I liked Timmins, and most of the D. No one stood out with any egregious mistakes.

Our goaltending is a going concern. Woll hasn't looked good since coming back from injury, and Samsonov is hit and miss, thankfully more hit lately but I don't like the idea of our goalies and how they matchup with any of our round one opponents.

The way this team defends off the rush is concerning. The way this team loses most board battles is concerning to me. This shit PP is concerning.

My wife's comment was, "bet she's a lot of fun at a party" lol

Leafs play perimeter hockey, while opposition turns opportunistic chances into sure goals

how often have we seen this movie?
I agree that the Leafs run and gun style seems to leave them highly susceptible to odd man rushes. Too much moving around... it's destined to failure. Anytime I watch good teams play the Leafs, the Leafs seem to have possession alot bit mostly along the perimeter, while the opposing team seems to get the higher level chances...many from odd man rushes probably because how much skating around the offensive zone the Leafs team does when they have the puck.

Her comment was that there were so many other good things to talk about. Rangers great season, this guys hot streak, that other guys what the fck ever. Like, she wanted them to ignore the line brawl at the start of the game... pretend it didn't happen. Okay Jen. It's the effin NHL dear, people have to pay the price for things they have done, and yes, we want to see it, talk about it and watch the replay.

Jeannot went into concussion protocol. Having a guy like Reaves means guys like Hagel aren’t chirping.
Would sit him against the Habs. Go with a more offensive lineup. Put him back in against Pitts to run amok.

I’m not a Tavares guy but I don’t think he’s cooked so much as he has a really low floor game and can look really bad when it’s off. Cause every time you think he’s ready for the scrap heap he wakes up and strings together a good 2 weeks just like that. For him, I think it’s a weird balance of confidence, energy and not getting too into his own JT tunnel vision mode.

Never thought I’d say this in December but Sammy has clawed back a season after playing himself almost out of the league. Woll plays a more aesthetically comforting game and has obvious tools and upside but not our playoff starter.

I’d even venture to say there’s room for a Matt Murray Hail Mary before giving the starters job to Woll in the playoffs.

I think it takes time for a goalie to find his rhythm after an injury. Vasi looked worse than Woll when he first returned. Heck, Vasi is still rocking a .900 save percentage because of how much he struggled coming back. Give Woll some games to catch his rhythm. Even with Samsonov being 'hot' he still has a stinker and swims way too much - like last game.

Completely felt the void today after the Reaves fight. Could have been a turning point. This team needed to follow up that fight with 2 or 3 shifts of hitting everything in sight to get them and the crowd going They just don’t have it as much as I wish they had that desperate desire to compete.

She's not on tv because of merit. It's to jam a narrative down our throats. Don Cherry fired, and this is what they trot out. Fits lock step with everything else taken from us by .gov and their mass media propaganda arm. Closer to home, luckily Tre is undoing Dubas's attempted contribution.

It's ironic, because her brother wasn't exactly a saint when he played.
