The last 31 Thoughts podcast of the season was released late last night. Jeff Marek said one team had a different top 3 on their list.

1-Kakko
2-Dach
3-Hughes

It’s towards the end of the podcast after the Kadri interview.
An actual NHL team ranked Hughes THIRD.

That’s truly terrifying. Hope to god it wasn’t us (Chicago is a good bet).

I was admittedly young at the time, but the Rangers seemed pretty huge in 94. Them winning was a gigantic deal in the city from my perspective.

Rangers and Knicks headed to the finals was a perfect storm. But I really think that the Knicks were driving sports fever around time and the Rangers rode the tide. The sentiment felt to me like Ewing & Co. were going to the championship BUUUTTT our hockey team is also as well, didn't you hear?

I think this view is more of an obtuse look at the NY sports passion hierarchy than analyzing 1994 independently.

"The Curse" was a huge story back then, as was the Rangers needing to go through 2 metropolitan rivals made it a real happening in the tri-state area. Not to mention I truly believe an impartial observer would agree that the hockey was much more compelling and gripping than the basketball being played during those couple of months.

Krieder, Stall, McDonough, Skeji, Lundquist, Zibenejad, Vessey, Stephan, Kravstov, Kappo, Hayek, Straalman. Where does it end?

It doesn't:

It's the double aa's and double kk's
You said it yourself. Double a, double k. Now you can spell it every time.

It always amazes me how it's even possible for English-speakers to struggle with 5-letter names. Ridiculous.

Anything is possible.

Willing to bet the majority of people here use the forum on their phones most of the time. It's very easy to mistype his name and (while I tend to be) not everyone is anal about checking for any grammatical or spelling errors they may have made. It's going to happen often, this season and beyond. Pointing it out is OT and not adding to the discussion. Please drop it.
