They're keeping Kakko busy with all the PR stuff. On NBC at midnight EST for an interview.

I’m actually getting a bit concerned. Can they give him a day or two to relax? Has he even slept outside of the flight? Not sure he feels all that comfortable being a walking marketing pawn.

Can you even imagine the PR whirlwind they would’ve gone on if they ended up with American heart-throb wonderkid Jack Hughes?

He'll be right back in his comfort zone tomorrow.

Kakko is 6'2 190lbs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kakko hits about 6'3/6'4and 220-230lbs

And if your wondering who that compares too.. Ovi is 6'3 and 236lbs.. was 6'2 215lbs on draft day.

Being a personal trainer I see a lot of different people and body types. Ovi and Kakko have very similar body builds and his Father is big aswell as is his Mother.

The Rangers have a freak of nature on their hands. And on top of that he is very skilled.

The future is very bright for this young man. :)

bit random but until kakko mentioned speaking to him during the year, I had no idea that Mikko Eloranta was one of our scouts since 2016...also shocked that he only played 5 years in the nhl with boston and LA. i thought he played alot longer than that

Talked about wanting to go #1 because it was his dream and how going #2 is going to be motivation for next year. Talked about the fans meeting him at the airport. Talked about NYC and how its bigger than Turku. Talked about playing in MSG and he said that its a great rink. Talked about being excited to play with Lundqvist who is a great goalie.

Nothing groundbreaking. Seemed a little timid but his English is very adequate. Hope they give him some rest from all the PR stuff now.

I had no idea who that guy was before googling him and I can assure you Kakko had never heard of him either. Certainly wouldn't have guessed it's a baseball player cause his shirt looks tighter around his chest than around his stomach.

This is a very outdated take.

The Yankees have more impressive athletes than the Rangers do at this point.

Also chest and shoulders is the most important area for a baseball player a majority of the time

What a stupid comment. There are plenty of extremely fit baseball players.

Think it is more that baseball is the least popular of the big US sports in most of Europe. Here in Norway we atleast get some NBA highlights on the sporting news sometimes, and the Superbowl is starting to be something popular to watch. Personaly I know who Kobe and Brady is, but I do not know a single MLB player.

I already fear the relentless propag ... I mean media circus; will be a chore on him. Leave the kid alone! I don't need content every f***ing minute you blood-sucking pieces of shit! You know the NHL will fuel this Hughes-Kakko rivalry and never stop harassing the boys.

I have a feeling his intermission interviews with Trautwig is gonna be the most awkward thing I have ever seen, can't wait lol

There are plenty of people in Finland who watch a lot of NBA and NFL (not only the Super Bowl). MLB, not that much.. I've been to many MLB games and whenever a fellow Finn has been there to attend one for the first time, they've always had the same comment: "Well, that was boring as hell, we don't have to do that again." Last November we went to our first NFL game with three friends of mine, and after the game everyone was saying "we definitely have do this again".
