He was working and is working with a professional trainer who trains professional athletes including superstar NHLers

Even in shit like the NFL guys don't have their hands held in the offseason, they have their own trainers

Maybe if he came to the Rangers and was like "yeah I don't really have a trainer, not sure how to work on improving the things I want" they will give him guidance, but working with a well known and pro trainer is probably sufficient for most NHL teams to expect out of their players and prospects
I keep saying that I hope they are aware of what he's doing and gave him guidance on what to continue. But what were seeing here is they gave zero guidance besides just "be in shape"

Hopefully that's not the case, I was asking if anyone had proof they do have specific programs/guidance for the guys

The Rangers 100000% have designed programs for players based on what they need. We've heard multiple players/prospects talk about this.
.

We have? That's what I was asking about. It'd be insanely incompetent and irresponsible if they don't so I did say I assume it was just misteanslation or accidentally implying otherwise. That's definitely good to hear, if true

Then again, he trained with Rantanen and apparently got some help from figure skating champion during the summer.

He knows they expect results. He wants results from himself.

Some guys just aren't fast, or at least, not faster than average. Kakko's got a whole lot else going for him though, and it's how he develops and plays to those strengths that will determine his success. That's why I'm not worried about him. The leaps he took between season 1, playoff bubble, and then season 2 were really encouraging and had nothing to do with footspeed.

Yep. Speed is overrated. It’s more important to be the first guy who knows where the puck is going. And Kakko seems to have an excellent nose for the puck.

Yea. And we are in a position where, as long as he becomes a top 6 player, even if not an offensive dynamo, that will probably be enough. Plus I still think he's going to at least be a 60 point player if he's playing in the top 6 with the talent we have. I have no clue if those Panarin rumors about not wanting to play with Kakko are true or if so, whether they still hold true, but if so he's got to get over that. Because Kakko may need to play on that 2nd line eventually if say Kravtsov took off offensively and worked better with the Zibs line, or various other possibilities. Because if Laf plays with Zibby on the 1st line at LW, then I do think there's a chance that line could use Kravtsov more than KK, while the Panarin-Strome line could definitely use the defensive play and dirty work that Kakko has become so good at.

Let's go Kakko. This organization desperately needs Kakko and Lafrenière to become top players. Home grown guys and not someone they signed as a free agent leading the way.
Still salty about the Panarin signing? The Hart Trophy caliber player ya mean? Who the kids can learn from?

Womp. Doesn't look as amazing when he's not being compared to a 13 year old
Kakko also has his shoulders shrugged in. Go front of mirror and pose like guy on right and then like Kakko and it is massive difference.

Thats why photos are kinda tricky. Lightning, posture etc matters so much
