Nah you can take most of my teeth if you give me millions, pretty good false teeth nowadays.I'd rather never get paid more than low 6 figures in my life than go through that and be paid 7 figures.
He’s American.Nobody's tougher than Canadian hockey players. Except maybe Aussie Rules football players.
He’s American.
That and getting 4 teeth knocked out. And playing 2 days later.I don't know if that makes him tough.
It certainly means he can handle stitches.
Did you even bother to read the tweet?I don't know if that makes him tough.

YesDid you even bother to read the tweet?
30+ stitches, 4 teeth knocked out, a bone graft, root canals, and a tooth stitched/sewed inside his lip. Bit more than just stitches like you implied.
You picked out one of the procedures that he had done, so that's a false equivalence. I'd also imagine that you aren't going to play a hockey game immediately following your root canal and then another game the next day. But yeah, totally the same.Yes
I have a root canal to do this Thursday, but I'm not going to claim to be tough.
Good for JVR. I like him, but tough is not how I would describe his style or his career.
Not to mention continuing to play hockeyDid you even bother to read the tweet?

If all I'm doing is playing hockey, I'm in.I'd rather never get paid more than low 6 figures in my life than go through that and be paid 7 figures.
Unfortunately this is probably going happen one day. I can imagine 30 years from now telling my grandkids about how players used to be so crazy that the played with no cage....its time for NHL players to wear bubble masks like in college hockey....
