If they get good value for a player who might start declining at age 29.

Lets just say that is roughly fair value. Now what do Toronto fans think is the incremental value of retaining 50% is? Whats the value of ~$2 million of Cap space? I'm guessing there is a fairly large gap between what Toronto fans think that should be worth and what Anaheim would be willing to pay (which I'm guessing is really not that much).

I'd rather trade JVR for a package than Fowler.

If he was RHD, it would make more sense.
