They might, but he will be in the Olympics, and it will be nice to see how he does. Team USA plays China next week in their first game and then Canada after that.I would think, and no offense to him or the Leafs, that they would want a better prospect than Abruzesse for Braun.

It would have to be Ritchie, the leafs need holl.since the leafs are that tight to the cap would they be interested in chariot at 50% and a montreal 3rd (essentially a late 2nd ) for a toronto first and holl ? we're not really interested in holl but to make the cap work will do it .

boy you sure know how to put the screws to an offer . no interest in ritchie because he's unmovableIt would have to be Ritchie, the leafs need holl.
Ritchie makes 2.5 for 1 more season, your definition of unmoveable is silly.boy you sure know how to put the screws to an offer . no interest in ritchie because he's unmovable
that's ok . if it's holl send the paperwork . if it's ritchie will work with another team against the cap . wouldn't ritchie help you more in the playoffs when things get rough ?Ritchie makes 2.5 for 1 more season, your definition of unmoveable is silly.
He would for sure but he isn't near as important as holl who if you look at his numbers is starting to really play like his old self.that's ok . if it's holl send the paperwork . if it's ritchie will work with another team against the cap . wouldn't ritchie help you more in the playoffs when things get rough

ok do you got dubas's number ? i'd like to get it done by the weekend .Done.
Braun would be an ideal pickup IMO.
Leafs would probably look at Travis Dermott being the odd man out on the blueline... not sure if he's of interest to Philly or not. Tough fit being a left shot.
Assuming not, probably something around the Leafs 2nd.... maybe a bit of retention for Braun. Philly has all 3 spots available. 1 for Giroux, 1 for Ristolainen, maybe they use one of Braun.
Alternatively, maybe you do something like Dermott for Braun @ 50%, plus a 5th rounder. Helps get the Leafs back into the middle of the draft whereas they've been devoid of picks for 2 years.
Real dollars isn't a problem for Philly. Ownership just stated they've been given a blank check to get better. What's the incentivethat's ok . if it's holl send the paperwork . if it's ritchie will work with another team against the cap . wouldn't ritchie help you more in the playoffs when things get rough ?
just noticed ritchie is owed 3.3 million in real dollars next year . definitely a no go .
i was referring to the chariot proposal a few posts back .Real dollars isn't a problem for Philly. Ownership just stated they've been given a blank check to get better. What's the incentive
I think if Josh Manson ends up here Travis Dermott goes in that deal
He'd likely have to... but if Josh Manson ends up here, that would likely put an end to Justin Braun.
I think the Leafs see what they have in Sandin-Holl; and are comfortable with that. The need is another right side D that can bump Holl down to that 3rd pair.
RD VS LD is over rated just get a top 4 D man.
To be fair, they tried that approach with Muzzin (as a partner for Rielly) and obviously didn't really pan out that way.
The Leafs have a pretty "rigid" structure of their D. The guy doesn't necessarily need to be a right shot, but he's gotta be somebody that you invision playing with Rielly, Muzzin or Sandin.
