It was 1 guy coming down the center of the ice how how was there a lot of open net without the goalie just giving it to him.

he was like 6 feet from the crease standing in the middle of the slot. it's a spot where you typically see higher scoring chances. it makes it harder for the goalie to work the angle and opens up more of the net to shoot at.

wish he would save that but it's not all on him.

They're allowed to happen 30 times a game (both ways) until they blatantly lead to an advtange that creates a scoring opportunity. The only obstruction penalties that refs call in games like these are those that directly stop a scoring chance, or create one. They'll let virtually everything else go.

Someone at MLSE needs to speak up and read the league the riot act in public. You can't pay the fine? How about missing round after round of playoff HHR?

The problem is, honestly they don't care. Would you care if you can print $100M a year? Yeah, they cost themselves a shyteload of cash for being stiffed, but in the end, as long as the suckers continue to have faith i the game being legit, they will return.

If Leafs lose tonight, I'm off of NHL until the next playoffs. I am going to try and ween myself off of this, a sport that was ingrained in me since I was a kid. Time to shed this racket.
