The only obstruction penalties that refs call in games like these are those that directly stop a scoring chance, or create one. They'll let virtually everything else go.

That penalty is called any time it's that blatant. Holl not only skated into Cirelli and created the contact, but actually knocked him off balance. You can get away with a subtle pick, but that war far from subtle. The penalty was called well before the goal was scored, as well. It directly allowed Tavares a free path to the net.

I don't think you're going to find a lot of sympathetic ears in this room on that opinion.
