I think it's the inconsistency. The refs put their whistles away on just as obvious infractions by Tampa but then suddenly decided to call it

The Leafs aren’t in a terrible position.

If Tampa tries to sit back and protect their lead, the Leafs have 20 minutes to tie the game. If they pot one, at that point, they’ll have the momentum and it might be tough for Tampa to flick the switch and go back on the attack.

Crowd needs to get on Tampa and Leafs need a big, big push but that's asking for a lot of heroics in a short amount of time. Like I said after Game 5, do the hardest work first and don't put yourself in this kind of position.

1st goal was a redirection by Reilly or he makes a routine save and holds on. 2nd goal was Paul making Brodie look like an AHL defencemen. The number of crazy saves Campbell made on Tampas PP is the ONLY reason we are in this game. Leafs team should be criticized, Tampa has looked better this game so far. This series up to this point the leafs team looked better, the offence needs to create more in the third

Redirection or not….that first goal was kicked straight out…that is ahl worthy…even Erik kallgren doesn’t do that

The second goal he let in a super back breaking goal right after vasi made a huge save. Vasi could’ve let that in and their fans could’ve said “oh it’s a Matthews bullet nothing you can do there” but no they got the save and we didnt

We haven’t really been better. Tampa is fine with us carrying play as long as shots are kept to the outside and blocked. We need to get to the slot more

here is what I think. - as someone who is very firmly team call it in may like you would in october - you don't see that call made in october. barely anyway. I don't think that's a call that many make in game seven in the playoffs.

(arguably, i'll also admit i don't know what a pick is). but that wasn't a call i expected to be seen made.

A pick is when one guy stops a player from another team from getting to the puck so that the another guy on his team can get to it. Watch Tampa's defense, it's pretty much their go-to defensive strategy. One guy picks up the puck, the other guy hits the forechecker coming in. It's absolutely interference, but the NHL has allowed it for 30 or 40 years. Except when they suddenly don't, and that's the issue most have with that Holl penalty.

The call was a joke. Plain and simple. There's been way worse interference not called. Mostly Tampa against us.

Leafs are built to win by scoring, not defending. One goal at home during game 7? So whoever we have in net has to conjure ANOTHER shutout against the Stanley Cup powerhouse champs. Riiiight....

If we were Tampa, the refs would be saving a 5 on 3 penalty in the 3rd for us.

That penalty is called any time it's that blatant. Holl not only skated into Cirelli and created the contact, but actually knocked him off balance. You can get away with a subtle pick, but that war far from subtle. The penalty was called well before the goal was scored, as well. It directly allowed Tavares a free path to the net.

I'm going further. If I see a chocolate bar with an "NHL raffle" or a box of cereal/oatmeal, I will buy from their competition. Hell, I might even email them and tell them that I did so, lol.

I can handle, losses. This team lost to the Caps, CLB and Habs, I accepted it. The two Boston series and this one have been as clear as day. This isn't my first rodeo.

As I said last night "how many coincidences make a fact"?

I hope Leafs pull this off, but the refs will do their best to prevent them from doing so. Four 5 on 3s in one series is absurd, a called back goal due to a penalty? Unheard of. I'd like to know when that last happened.

Someone at MLSE needs to speak up and read the league the riot act in public. You can't pay the fine? How about missing round after round of playoff HHR?
