I am a bit older than you, but I was in my first year of college in 2004 when we beat the Sens in round 1. I lived in on campus residence, and there was a little courtyard in front of the building, so my buddies and I took a TV into the courtyard, ran an extension cord and cable. Couches and chairs. It was the best! I am 40 now and we haven't won shit since then.

If they play nervous then it just goes on to show they have learned absolutely nothing. There is nothing to be gained playing nervous. Like you said, playing nervous in game 7s have gotten them nothing but a 1st round exits.
