This. Good take

Lets see what he brings tonight
Another game without a point on the scoresheet.

And the Habs another game without a regulation win.

And the Rocket have lost 9 of their last 10.

It's important for Slafkovskly to play at a level he can get his confidence back, and to play with other prospects who are in a winning culture.

Let's hope Kent Hughes sends the kid to Trois-Rivières tomorrow before it will be too late to prevent him from busting.

Haven't been able to watch. Amazing to hear how stoked people are.

Just imagine if we passed on him lol. "We could've had a 6'4 240 lb beast with skating and skill??? WTF HuGo!!!"

That shootout goal was wild. He totally turned Levi out.

Kid could be really special. Glad that he's putting it together rather quickly too. With that much runway still ahead of him, it's hard to put a cap on how good he can be.

Slafkovsky for the last 3 games has been the best player on this team. Amazing! Love what I'm seeing, points will come! This kid is reassuring everybody
Everyone keeps saying "the points will come". Tonight was the last straw, another big fat zero against a weak team.

It's time to move on from the guy, and let a hard worker like Gallagher get the first line opportunities.

I said many times I would love to be proven wrong on this kid, well I'm happy I was wrong on him. So nice to see him finding his game.

I share all your enthusiasm. He’s a very special player. But let’s be honest, the lack of points is not just a streak of bad luck nor an intractable enigma. As he’s a cornerstone for the future, coaching needs to up the learning tempo in that area ASAP.

Something that he has to work is his feet position on the one timer.
.it will come.

A beast in the making.

Speed
Strenght
Reach
Vision
Puck protection technique
Anricipation to cut passes and plays.
Dangle on both sites
Backhand passes with strenght and precision

The dude has all those skills at a high level at 19 1/2 years old....watch out!!

If you go around page 160-170 he has no skills.

With the knowledge that Slaf historically shined in tournament situations, you can imagine what kind of impact he could have in the playoffs.

He may not ending the most profiling scorer in his draft class, but who would complain in drafting 1OV a guy who should normally end up one of the prominent powerforward of his generation? He's a gamebraker in his own way. And he's going to feast on the smaller modern Ds.

Drafting a forward who's 6'2 220 would be like 'Christ Almighty that's a big boy'. When you add another 2 inches and 20 lbs, that's an absolute freak.

I feel like this board got over skeptical at times when a kid was really big in the last couple years, like once he would get to the NHL they couldn't use their size anymore or they had to have low IQ, etc. Legitimate concerns to an extent but I think that angle was over played up by many.

I kept watching draft year highlights of him and I couldn't understand why people thought he was almost orders of magnitude lower than the top 5 or so of this past draft.

Habs _usually_ make the wrong pick and our luck is usually not so great.

A lot of PTSD going on there, especially for our more senior fans.
