The Glass contract is more than fine. Not a bad contract, whatsoever.

This is about the same reaction that was present on here when Carcillo was traded for.

He'll be fine in his role.

Even if you don't want to follow Corsi, Glass had a Relative Corsi almost 2.5 times worse than Carcillos, and they played similar competition.

Glass is barely a hockey player.

Who would've thought Brooks Orpik gets more $ than Moulson?

I liked the Carcillo move. Making no money to be an agitator. Hate the Glass move.

Guys like Maholtra and Skille were the better bets.

You need a little bit of grit in your line up.

Malhotra isn't bringing that. Skille isn't known for that.

Moore showed grit and agitation. Glass is more effective than Dorsett in this regard. Now the 3rd component of that line will be Lindberg, a guy who's defensively as responsible as Boyle, hopefully just as good as Boyle on faceoffs, and will be huge in terms of guiding that line to defensive stability.

Boyle and Moore were the two that made the 4th line go. Lindberg has big shoes to fill but by all reports he can fill those. He's offensively capable. Glass will be on a free ride, as Dorsett and Carcillo were if Lindberg can provide 3/4 of what Boyle did.

Put me in this camp. Carcillo is closer to an Avery type than a goon, with enough hockey skills to give you some quality minutes. Carcillo can play a little bit. Glass has nothing going for him. He'll win some fights in November/December, and be pretty much useless after that.

Dan Carcillo was never known for his skills.

He came here and showed Dorsett up. This screams like an AV request. I'm ok with it.

Possession means a heck of a lot more than grit. The Rangers lose that with Glass.

We wanted to add grit to the team and we did so by signing Glass.

Just wish it was a little cheaper.

I wouldnt mind trying to grab Steve Ott for the 4th line if he can play wing. Gives you an extra center if needed. But not sure what hes expecting money wise.

As if they had any possession with Dorsett, the most unstable skater solely focused on kamikaze-ing other players only to crash into the boards by himself and leave the other 4 players to fend off an odd man rush.

Dorsett is way better than Glass.

The fact that Dorsett is way better than someone is alarming.

Again, if toughness is an area your team lacks, you don't solve that problem by simply signing a fourth liner who is going to play 7 minutes per game. You need toughness throughout your lineup, or at least in a guy whos going to play a third of the game.

Double digits in goals twice. 20+ points both of those years. Carcillo can play a little hockey. Glass can't.
