I think I said that the 4th line would be:

Moore - 1.5
Lindberg - .6

And a guy worth 1.4 on the other wing.

There you go. 3.5 mill for that line.

1 - 4th line guys like Glass could always be traded. They carry low cap hits and teams looking to get tougher for the playoffs almost always will part with lower draft picks for these type of players.

2 - He's tougher than Dorsett.

3 - That's about all the positives I have about that.

Yeah, I'm calming down because of the bolded.

Yeah, man.

"****ing BOMBS!!!" YEAH!!! WWE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!

because we lost to the Kings because they out-fought us. :shakehead

I love to see big bombs in fights, but the Kings manhandled smaller guys like MSL and Zucc. I don't think Glass will do that to other teams' smaller players (I'm reading that he's very slow).

Why 3 years on Glass? Why? Why not 2, or 1? 3 ****ing years?

I guess his contract is cheap enough that we can move it after the year if need be.
It always seems like Slats is the only one to give these extra years. Everyone else gets these guys on 1 year deals for far less money.

I like Glass, top 10 hitter in the league, he may stink but should provide some entertainment. Moore deservs more but glad to keep him.

His presence in the lineup is important. He isn't a goal scorer. He's a 4th line winger. Basically replaces Dorsett, in point production and size, and the ability to win fights when called upon.

Its not a matter of Glass or Dorsett, it's a matter of Glass AND a 3rd or Dorsett.... It's a 1.45m contract hardly a difference maker.

I think the Rangers are just about done with UFAs. Think they'll sign Carcillo or another UFA for fourth line and maybe a 13th forward.
I think JT Miller and Lindberg will compete for the 2nd/3rd line center position. I think Fast and Kristo (and maybe Duclair) will compete for Pouliot's spot. And that we'll sign all our RFAs. If we make a trade that could change things but I think we are set.

Kreider/Stepan/Nash
Hagelin/Miller/St. Louis
Fast or Kristo/Brassard/Zuc
Glass/Moore/Carcillo or UFA
Carcillo or UFA as 13th forward

McD/Girardi
Staal/Klein
Moore/Boyle
Kostka

Done.

Rangers have to be basically done, barring a trade. 15 million left. Figure on the low side Zucc and Brass 4 each, Kreider 2, John Moore 1.5.

The only points Glass is going to produce if he's in the lineup (and i really hope he isn't) is for the other team.

He's about as fast as Carcillo. Not faster than Dorsett. Not slower than Boyle.

Glass is agitating enough to get players like Simonds off the ice for periods of time. I like the signing.

Even that Glass contract?

The Glass contract is more than fine. Not a bad contract, whatsoever.

This is about the same reaction that was present on here when Carcillo was traded for.

He'll be fine in his role.

Sounds good, but I hope he does not take brain dead interference calls or dumb penalties in general (e.g. Pouliot).

I liked the Carcillo move. Making no money to be an agitator. Hate the Glass move.

Guys like Maholtra and Skille were the better bets.
