If you want to get Miller going, why not just put him with Pettersson? Those two always play great together, they both think offense at a very high level. I would try something like this for forward lines:

Miller-Pettersson-Podkolzin
Kuzmenko-Horvat-Garland
Mikheyev-Aman-Hoglander
Pearson- Lazar-Joshua

Miller is digging himself into a deep hole with the fans here - "If they want to throw their sh*t on the ice, it's up to them"

Fans are going to read that and interpret that as a hostile gesture, and it probly is meant to be. If things aren't going well for him again tonight, the booing is going to get even louder.

I agree with Miller...to those fans that want to throw sweaters on the ice (especially Henriks)

f*** em.

I don't understand why people dislike that quote.

He said he has a job to do and he's going to ignore the noise and focus on his own game and focus on getting the job done rather than focusing on what the fans are doing.

He's focusing on what he can control.

I'd be more concerned if he showed that fan reaction was affecting his game, or if he said something like what Horvat said.

I don't have a problem with what Miller said, and I wouldn't boo him, but he should have been more diplomatic if he wants to feel welcome in his own rink.

People are going to interpret that as him not giving a shit about the fans now, as they have watched him seemingly not giving a shit about the team. Things are going to get rough for him unless he starts playing like he is suppose to.

I actually feel bad for Miller. He reminds me of Kesler in terms of persona, but he’s on the wrong team at the wrong time.

I cannot fault him for taking that excellent (from his perspective) retirement contract when idiot management shockingly caved. I suspect he may be as shocked as the rest of us he got that deal.

He's not directing his comment to 99.999999% of the fans who come to the rink (even the ones who want to boo)..His comment was directed at those who want to throw Canuck sweaters on the ice..

f*** em..

The window to trade Miller was last year's TDL or early in the spring.....now with his contract extension, he's basically untradeable.

A new President, a new GM but the same old script in Lotusland. Canucks players fooled a lot of people with their stretch run in garbage time last season.

But a front office that really has the correct handle on its team, would have dealt both Miller and Boeser. This roster desperately needed a shakeup, with picks and prospects coming the other way.

But seems to me that so far, the Canucks have done exactly what Benning would have done in the same circumstances. Is it something in the water out here?

One wonders. Certainly it turns all backup goalies into bums within seconds...

That may be true, but it gives a reason for fans to direct even more of their frustration with the team towards him. If fans are looking to get mad at somebody, he is the clear cut winner here.

Maybe he's being the ultimate team player here, taking all the heat off everybody else.

A reason for the fans who supported the jersey toss..?

I don't fault any player for taking $56m from stupid GMs and owners, if that is offered to you, you take it and run, no question.
I do fault him for his lack of effort on the ice though. Take the money, sure, but show up to work at least.

Players don't just suddenly change how they play or think because the fans are mean to them. I don't care how Miller answers questions, and he's clearly not the type to try to pacify fans or worry about how they perceive him.

He is the type of player a "win now" team wants, emotional, skilled with a mean streak.
But not on this team. By the time this is a "win now" team that is a cup contender he will not be the same guy.

In the meantime he is not the guy to mentor young players, it is just not in his nature

Not clarified but I still think he can be traded before his new contract comes into force. With an incentive(s)

Nobody is trading for this guy anytime soon lol.

How delusional is he? Does he not understand that people have eyes and we can all see him floating around literally not even trying. This is the craziest shit I've ever seen

Who saw him literally flip his stick upside down on the backcheck and start wiping the snow off his blade whilst a pass he could of broke up went right by him? Like seriously, this is crazy stuff.

Wings fan in peace! Is there any report/actual knowledge on what the argument between Schenn and Miller was about and/or what was said?

Miller said "no offense, but it's none of your business."

Maybe in some ways, but Kesler would take it out on the opposing teams.
