Cant believe Kunitz didnt realize that Asham was on the bench (where he was for 56 minutes) in the half a second he had to react before running into Lundqvist.

Asham isn't a feared heavyweight. And he even admits he isn't a fighter anymore, he's getting old, tired and worn out...in hockey terms.

It's Sather but it's also Vigneault. He wants these prospects up, only to limit their ice time, sit them or/and send them down. He doesn't have the slightest clue on player development.

We're a soft, mediocre team right now that's going no where.

I'd rather McIlrath play 20 minutes a night, spend more time with Beuke reviewing the tape, and learn his craft properly.

A lot of the guys he just played with....heck a lot of the organization could be different by the time he gets back to New York again.

Asham is definitely a heavyweight.

Apparently some people don't know the definition of a hockey heavyweight...

This organization is a joke. I'm glad McIlrath is back in the A. It's a joke that they keep yo-yo'ing Miller though. You haven't seen enough of him yet, AV? Keep him in Hartford FFS. He's not ready.

and apparently some people think that trading for Orr would have stopped Kunitz from going to the net...

Earth-shattering moves. I have no problem with them, but if they were the result of a discussion on the team's current state, then I hate to think how management sees this team going forward.

Asham never ever was a heavyweight. He was and still is a good middleweight. He fights very well for his size. He's just not a very good hockey player anymore. His skating for one thing is not great. The AHL is more his speed than the NHL at this point in his career.

I think with Brass playing 2nd line center and Richards on the wing, Miller playing 3rd line C is actually a smart move. Lets hope he sticks and stops getting bounced around now. Hope McI enjoyed his cup of coffee

I think the rangers get frequent travel rewards on AMTRAK and that's why Miller gets called up and sent down so much.

But it's enough already- keep him here.

Bye Asham, thanks for the 7 minutes of ice time this season...

The mere fact that AV mentioned he wanted to be a tough team like the Redwings made me cringe.. Now sending down Diesel for no reason when this team lacks everything he brings makes me sick.. Yes he is inexperienced and yes he is learning how to play in the NHL but he is game and has a huge heart .. Dress 7 D if your worried about him that much what would it hurt..

Miller was sent down for Asham after the Washington game. Miller is called up for Asham. Miller scores 2 goals last weekend. Is Miller staying this time? Yeah right.

Asham didn't require waivers because his previous waivers had not expired. Its 30 days on the NHL roster or 10 games. Cumulative.

I don't even care anymore.

Basically. There's no reward for following this team right now. Forget winning. We're not only pathetic, soft and mismanaged but we're boring as all hell. 99% of the time I prefer what ever other games are on when we're playing. Just very difficult to actually care about this group right now.
