Except teams have dropped out, stop showing interests..so just because Canucks fans think something and their GM/ president ask for it, doesn't mean they get that

Yeah exactly. Miller's an alright player but he ain't that special. And he's 28 and only have one more year after this one. Why would anyone give up a "king's ransom" for him?

He'd be around 6th or 7th on the Leaf's 'best players' depth chart. MEH.

Boeser and miller will not be moved if we are still in the playoff hunt. (Unless an offer was presented to them that is too hard to turn down)

this season jr is letting the players decide their fate for the 2022 season. It will be unfair for us to suddenly gut the team while they are playing pretty good. Since bb took over, from that day on the canucks are actually the top Pacific team.

Jr will than decide what to do provably leading up to the draft with the same asking price of a 1st round pick, 1 blue chip prospect and one roster player .

As far as the Leafs go, Miller…as good as he is, is the last target they should be spending top assets on. At this point, our goaltending and defence are top priority…..

Yeah, I mean....Matthews, Marner and then there's Miller. Miller's having a better year than Tavares and Nylander. You could argue one of those two is better than Miller but there's not going to a general consensus that Miller would place 5th.

I'd say third. If you want to toss Reilly in there you could also slot him in the Nylander and Tavares tier...

Not if HF is anything to go by. Every team seemingly interested seems to have at least 2 or 3 "untouchable" prospects, which for a player of Miller's caliber is simply unacceptable.
Teams know they need ELC guys for balance, so it really isn’t unacceptable to not put their best futures on the table for Miller.

Any package for a guy that's currently on pace for 90 points and can play both special teams and all three forward positions, regardless of contract status, that doesn't include qt least one A+ asset is unacceptable. If a team isn't willing to part with something significant, don't bother making the offer.

Speaking only for Toronto, there isn’t any reports saying they did make an offer. Reports generally say Dubas called, got told the asking price…and changed direction. Seems only the Rangers have actually made an offer.

Exactly what has Marner won in Toronto?

he won the lotto when a young inexperienced GM caved in to a young rfa agents hand and overpaid him and kept the laffs in a regular season beast team who can't win a playoff round with all that offensive talent...

Yes, teams have dropped out of interest in players nearly 1 month BEFORE the TDL...sure sure, called posturing and Canucks have always been a tentative team too chicken shit to make a bold trade...so I see that trend continuing this TDL

Scoring similarily to the Laffs top guys while make half as much...yes JT is NOT the player Laffs go after, maybe another bustaroo overaged injury prone player for a 1st again will solve the laffs problems in the playoffs...

Miller would be 2nd line wing in Toronto, with the forward talent the Leafs have…that’s not a piece you pay 3+ top assets for.

Which is why toronto can pass on him.
There is no trade restrictions for miller, guy has a ton of teams wanting him for obvious reasons, He is going to get his value on his trade regardless

You’re right of course. But the reality is that we have a whole year for at least one team to bite on Miller who very well is the kind of player who can put a contender over the top on a reasonable contract. And someone will bite.
