Nest year will be the important part for him. People forget he's just 21. He's not a high end talent his game is pretty much entirely based on being at the right place and at the right time to overcome a lack of speed and skills. It worked in junior but at the higher level he'll have to work a bit harder. Being 22 next season he'll have to start showing that drive that will be required to make it.

Rocket has 2 games left, but they get the bye for the first round (AHL playoffs start with 23 teams). He's kinda going to get 2 weeks off.

Thats a bummer. He dominated at every level but looks like he reached his ceiling in the AHL and just cant keep up in the NHL.

It's too bad but his lack of quickness at this level hampers his game.
He does a lot of thing well on the boards and around the net but it isn't enough I don't think.

I'm still hoping for the best for the young man, but I just don't see it right now. Him turning out like Charles Hudon seems more and more likely.

It could be, before Demidov arrived, the combination of guys playing injured and the possibility of using Roy's skill set over Pez and Kapanen.

Could be. But many counted Evans out, and he turned into a solid bottom sixer. Evans was slow at first but got faster. Imo, that's really all Roy has to do. But can he do it? Not everyone can.

With the rumors of Roy not being serious enough in his pro career, I doubt it.
