Nothing so far.
And if you look at the sabres game thread you’ll see they don’t have anything good to say about any of their players including Norris already.

I get it’s tough losing that much. We been there and might still be. But…they can’t all be terrible players.
Hard to take anything serious when Peterka is a p***y who shouldn’t be signed long term, Tuch and Thomson are low Iq dummies, etc. etc.

They’re a burnt out fan base, and rightfully so. They are jaded about their players. We’ve been there through that past 7 years as well.

They’re not all terrible. Just a poorly constructed team, much like we used to be.

Sabres should be firing their GM while they still have a lot to work with and bring in someone who can properly build a team and they could turn things around quick. They probably won’t though.

Feel very bad for Norris, he’s an incredibly good dude, and is now in Buffalo for the foreseeable future, they’re an absolute trainwreck. Need a new GM, coach, owner. It’s like the Sens of 3 years ago, it’s a dark tunnel, and we know how shitty it is as fans.
Holy projection. Norris is a good dude because he's a forward thinking dude - glass half full type. Exactly what the Sabres need. Wouldn't be suprised to see him wearing the 'C' soon enough.

Lindy Ruff is not a good coach for a young team in 2025 either.

Buffalo has some nice pieces. They need a direction though. Ruff doesn't bring that, IMO.

Eh, they return here was much better, but I had no shits to give for Zib. He suffered from the work ethic issues which in my experience doesn’t really endear yourself with the fans.
A younger player with upside traded for an older player with no upside, 5 years age difference, 5 points scoring difference, PLUS gave up a draft pick too. Dorion's worst day ever!

You may be right with your first two sentences; however, Ruff definitely brings direction!

He may not have empathy for younger players but he knows how they should be playing.

Some young players need to learn and be taught how to play the game at the pro level against men. That should happen at the AHL level but some teams cannot wait for them to learn there.

I just read that Norris has 13 primary assists at 5v5 for his entire career. That is a hell of a stat for a center.

I wish him well in Buffalo but I am not sad for him leaving. The team mates left behind that were close to him maybe a little .
Norris lacks playmaking ability; the ability to make his line mates more effective. I like him but his skill level was not what we needed at C. Hopefully Cozens is that type of player for us. I have the same concern about Pinto but as 3C he is fine.

It's expensive and takes time to become "best in class"! :)

I don’t think they are ever going to become “best in class” with Pegula as the owner. But no reason they can’t be in the playoff hunt.

He got voted second worst owner in the NHL agent poll, but it was more because of being too inactive/hands off, which feels like an easier fix than the alternative. Then again maybe not if he keeps hiring the wrong people.

Thompson legit does not have very good hockey IQ. He's relatively fast, has insane athleticism, and one of the best shots in the game. But he's not very smart, nor skilled outside of shooting.
