I don't think it was lost at all.

Archi let them back in the game, but 20 guys let them tie the game. That includes Tippett. Not one person on that bench had the composure to simmer it down and eat a puck to make a play.

Just a bench full of headless chickens letting the game slip away.
I agree. Everyone just panicked. Even Smith. That rebound on the third goal and that 4th goal were not good. Playoff goalies have to stop that

Oilers continually let the point shots get through,. They never learn to charge and challenged the d-men on the points. Coaching tactics are bad on this team. Oh well, even if they had won, it would have been an uphill climb as the Jets got all their good players back. Never expected the team to go beyond 2 rounds. At least we now know who now the players that did not step up, Bear, RNH prominent. I'd let Khaira go in the off season too.

I actually really like him as a bottom 6. I just really dislike him tonight

In fact I really like the player.

But you just can't make that play. And it's an intentional play. Shows me he doesn't have what it takes and I'd rather get someone who does.

It's disappointing because I've really liked Archi and would have been royally pissed if we got rid of him before tonight. But after tonight? f*** off Archi, you don't have it.

Mcdavid also turned it over on the game tieing goal and didn’t get anything going all overtime. The no show the first two games is why we have no margin of error here.

Mcdavid was straddled with a struggling Bear the whole 3rd period and OT. Bear made that line look like trash all by himself. That’s the hard truth, turn over after turn over in his end left that line looking lost.

Nah, it’s a legit talking point.

You made comments that you don't know are true though, about the team not respecting or liking him. That's just stirring things up, and we have enough shit on the burner right now without adding baseless speculation.

I did say they had to try it and get him kick started.

Alas, too late.

But something really wrong with the whole club make up with how much it takes to get the club up, and get more people on board.

The Oilers have to realize the importance of starting in earnest in game one.

I'll maintain the Oilers have been their own worst enemies in this series. You don't spot your opponent a game when they are missing two key players. It only gets tougher if you do that. Winning without Ehlers and Dubois was just huge for Winnipeg. what got the whole ball rolling, and its the Oilers players fault. I mean its nice that Drai was pissed off and a boss in game 3. He wasn't that in game 1. Its nice that Mcd got pts tonight on Drais back, but McD ain't been anything in this series.

McD neutered McD. It wasn't really the Jets. We saw tonight, and all season how the Oilers COULD undress the Jets.

The bolded is how I feel about this series. The Jets are not a terrible club by any means, but they aren't nearly as good as the Oilers have made them look. Sadly, the Leafs will emphasize this to be true (and no Habs lurkers, the Habs are not going to win the series against the Leafs, they were gifted game 1 by the emotional sag from the Tavares injury)

Nurse penalty was selfish too. Khaira had all the time but flipped the puck out. Just because media is hyping it doesnt mean Archi's penalty was the only difference this game. The team shit the bed and half of them should be on suicide watch if they had any shame.
None of those other plays changed the series around. Khaira’s was lack of execution which happens all the time and probably doesn’t piss off your teammates as much as a taking a run at your opponent’s knees and taking a stupidly selfish series changing penalty.

Firing Holland or Tippett isn’t going to fix anything unless the entire roster is overhauled. Without staring down the reality of rebuild 4.0, this team is fantastically f***ed depth and design wise.

McDavid is probably looking at this whole thing as a joke. From a pure career standpoint, including legacy, I’m willing to bet he and his people are going to be having some interesting conversations regarding his commitment to being here going into next season.

Okay but what is he going to do? We scored 4 goals. Bear, who is also a rookie pretty much, played bad. How will inserting another rookie help?

While Bear gets all trumped up for being 'good defensively', he sure seems to have a low panic threshold. Bouchard on the other hand, doesn't, even when he makes mistakes. Maybe his body language rubs Tippett the wrong way? Maybe he wants Bouchard to 'act more accountable' (ironic)

Smith does get rattled. Not just Koskinen. The other game as well when Jets tied it up, the very next play Smith was losing his mind out there and almost caused a GA. he gets jittery.

But the Oilers were in full and complete panic mode once it got to 4-2.

Credit Jets for smelling fresh blood all over the ice. The Oilers sunk into a crater after that goal. Even the best players on this club. McD, Drai, Nurse, all panicking. you can't really teach something like that. Somebody has to keep their heads out there.

Once it was 4- the whole rest of the game just collapsed.

Oilers having a comfotable 4-1 lead means some players had had a good game. And dropping four goals in a row , means a lot of players did not have a good game.
We cant blame Draisaitl, he did what he should.
But slmething gjat nees to be adressed kn this team is the shallow LW depth. No goof LWer at all. Nuge is declining, Kahun is invisble- played to high. Chiasson is always favoured over all others bybour coach- well show me why then!! Yes, he has to prove me wrong here. Shore or Nygård could be had. Barrie - the leagues leading RD- without offensivve contribution. I see a high risk here of resigning him. Dont sign him btw. Why sign players who doesnt show up when its showtime?
Connor having pressure on his shoulders, I hope it falls off.
Smith is blamed to not making key saves. Well its good to have them, but not slmething to demand all the time. Imagine playing great, then your team plays shit and letting the other team into the game. And that makws you the dark sheep. Smith is not the problem here.
No winger strength. A weak Nuge. A non contributing top D - that we wont resign. To start with

I dunno, what Archi did was bullshit (understandable, but still bullshit), but he's not the only reason they lost. I doubt the team is disappointed in him when they have themselves to blame as well. I'd be shocked if Archi is traded, unless it's in a package for an upgrade. If Holland loses a trade to get rid of him like Benning did with Gaudette, he can f*** off

Tippett should be feeling the heat though
I think there’s more teammate resentment and anger towards his behaviour than you might think. Those guys busted their asses for 52 minutes only for one dude to unravel the whole f***ing thing.

Good for him and his people. Hopefully they look in the mirror before they decide to cut bait and run. The team has holes and the coaching is mediocre but McDavid hasn't been elite this series, not even close. Draisaitl has more reason to feel disappointed, he nearly single handedly won them this game.
