For Anderson (50 percent retained)

We won't retain 50% for that long. Maybe we retain down to $4M but that's not because we think he sucks, it's to give the other team a cap space advantage or value contract. If we retain, we will ask for more.

My price for Anderson has been Toffoli trade value. 1st and B+ prospect trending well (Heineman). Heineman was likely the prime piece in that trade.

We are not easily going to let Anderson go. Fans and media are obsessed with shopping him but our actual management is not but they are listening to phone calls. Anderson may not be a sure shot top 6F but he is a very good middle 6F. On a team with a deep top 9, the results may be different. Finding a big forward who can skate like that and has a very good shot is not that easy to find.

Its hilarious watching Hab fans give Dubois and Andersson similar value.

Every fan base has those types. It's not what the majority in our fan base thinks.

Either way Anderson is worth A LOT LESS than Dubois.

It’s hilarious seeing you say nothing to those fans but if someone talks negative about Montreal and here you are. How about you hold the same standard to your own fan base?
LOL..............you don't think there are habs fans who don't discuss these exact things, and disagree?
LOL.....................good ol HF never change.
Haters gonna Hate eh.............

How often are posters going to use words like Ridiculous and Hilarious. It's almost like some people have limited words to use in their vocabulary. Those are trigger words and you know it!

Comparing Anderson with term to Dubois as a RFA asset for one more year has flaws. Of course Dubois is worth more than Anderson on the ice. But this summer, Dubois value may be just one RFA year so circumstance matters.

And no, Anderson signed for prime years is not a "Horrible" contract. He's not a sure shot top 6F but he's a very valuable middle 6F. Remember when Lehkonen was just worth a 2nd rounder? Well, that was wrong and today, he probably has higher value after seeing what he can do on a better team. Anderson in a deeper top 9 is a different result than what you may be willing to admit too.

With this logic you should never question what another fan base wants for their player.
Question? yes.
Ignore their opinion entirely because it doesn't fit with my preconceived opinion? No.

Is it legal ???
Example :
Win receive: a conditional 1st from Colorado, a 3rd round pick 2024 from Montréal and 25% of Dubois retain

Colorado receive Dubois @ 25%

Montréal receive 50% of dubois contract & Future consideration
The future consideration will be Dubois right at the draft

His value just got higher in the east!
Whys that?

Unfortunately, I think Kent is too in love with Anderson to move him. He desperately needs to be moved for the prices teams have been paying. Either now or at the draft. But the TD is better because teams are panicking.

YOU see it a lot because it’s hilarious how ridiculous you are with your hypocrisy when valuing Habs players Vs the rest Of the NHL. No need to be triggered because I know you know what you’re doing.

Remeber when Domi was valued at a 70Pts center?

Rememeber when Galchenyuk was an awesome player if it wasnt for that darn coach?

The east just packed itself with gritty and tough players, and that's one thing Josh Anderson is.

I'd guess some contenders would take a second look at him now... but as you say, Kent loves his Anderson.

I am sure if you would stop making ridiculous and hilarious posts that you call facts, you would see a lot less use of those words. Try looking iin the mirror before you make those ridiculous posts, cause they are hilarious.

Retention is a non-starter. And if you downgrade the prospect, upgrade the picks.

Edit: From my POV as a Habs fan, Knies and a second, is pretty much the asking price. And there's no rush from our POV, I actually expect a better market in a year with a rapidly rising cap, and having a solid veteran around while we're adding all these kids is valuable in the meantime.
Yeah leafs can’t afford to add a 5 million dollar player especially for the 3rd line.

Hughes needs to be creative. Fore sure, hes a player made for the playoffs but 5.5M its tough. Habs should retain 1M$, but they cant do more long term. They need a 3rd team on a side deal with the original team and retain

To habs: 1st + prospect

X team: Anderson (1M$ retain) + Y team player (50% retain by habs)

Y team: pick

Im a genius, buy me a beer

There are ways to get your point across without using trigger words. That's the point. And all fan bases say things that end up false and personally, when I'm wrong, I admit it. Do you? But I get the feeling you think it's only the Habs fan base that it applies to. You tell me the team you cheer for and I can cherry pick names like Domi and Galchenyuk as well.

Habs did well by flipping Galchenyuk for Domi and then Anderson. All of them had their moments but today, I like that we have Anderson from that. He's undervalued as a middle 6F IMO. I wish some Habs fans would stop shopping him to be honest.

Yes. Another trigger word. I fell into the stupid trap. I'm human. I went and removed it.
And here I thought the entire post was supposed to be irony and I was just playing along. Turns out you were serious. LMAO.

I thought “But I get the feeling you think it's only the Habs fan base that it applies to.” was supposed to be the tip off. It has equal meaning to ”Habs Halifax eats poop”. Neither sentence has any validity but both have no other purpose but to demean the other poster with fabricated bs. But apparently this is really just you and how you communicate. And you wonder why you constantly see words like hilarious referencing your posts?

Move on bud. You're playing more belittle spins now. Your character is showing and you're crossing the line. I should report this one to be honest.

Avoid the trigger words. That's the point. I'm sure you are a good person and you are not here to play that game. We all fall into that stupid culture trap and you know it.

Do you really want to talk about this for 6+ more posts? All you need to say is you feel Anderson is valued too high.

I’m simply discussing what you bring up. Literally quoting you. Unlike you who makes up a bunch of BS, attacking other posters with lies and straw men, all just to push your false narrative.

Honestly, how sad is it that you start complaining about trigger words and then make that post? I gave you the benefit of the doubt even. But you doubled down.

If you don’t like how this is going maybe you should take a look in the mirror. You brought this on yourself.

Avoid trigger words. You got the point. Move on time. Seems like you are stuck on your belittle spins so if you want to continue with that, you can earn the ignore mode.

Like I said, all you need to say is you think Anderson is valued too high. There are ways to get your point across without using trigger words. And yes, I used one and retracted it.

You really seem to want to talk about this.

You want to complain and moan about posters using words that trigger you while simultaneously using them and making up lies and attacking me. Keep retracting. You try to high road people while being one of the worst offenders.

Once again you lie to attempt to ”trigger”. I didn’t “spin“ a single thing. I quoted you. Guilty. Funny, your complaint is me quoting you and my complaint is your continued personal attacks where you just make thing up to try in some weird attempt to play the victim.

Yes Andersson is valued too high relative to what you expect for other players around the league.

montreal retains 1m for 4 seasons and the third team retains 2.25m (50% of 4.5m) for four seasons and receives a pick?

Late 1st rounder? Habs have previously reported turning that down. That's maybe his price if he had 1 season left. Some think his term is a negative and I don't agree. It's the back end of his prime years and I don't see him ageing badly with that skating and there is a growing cap to come. Certainly not easy to find a middle 6F type like this. 20-25 goals and 30-40 pts but provides so much more value beyond production. He's a type you want to play with vs against in the playoffs.

Not an insulting offer but it's lower than our pry away value. Some fans are desperate to move him but our management is not. I don't see a late 1st base getting lower as time moves forward.

That was clearly just me mocking the claim that came out a couple of months ago that the Devils were very interested in him.

I have zero interest.
