What ? Imagine what crap of a team we have then
He is not the top 6 power forward we were hoping for when we got him for sure, but he's been useful in other ways at least. Still not worth his contract, but he's picked up defensive missions and been doing better on a third line.

I find it's the same for Armia; frustrating player with all the assets of a solid hockey player that cant play consistently. One skill Armia has that is elite is keeping the puck, a skill he has been putting to great use recently, specifically on D missions and PK. Mtl media has been finding stats to say he is "elite defensively". I wouldnt go that far, but I do find it is noticeable. Is this line doing this well because of Gallagher and how he's been this season?

I dont know. The way he as played this season I think playoff teams would love this kind of player. I know he is overpaid but he is not a useless player. I like that he shows up, you can tell he gives a f***.

He is big, strong, and fast. Not scared to drop the gloves either. A good team player.

I think now that his role as a 3rd liner is clear, it's less pressure on him and he performs better. He's just overpaid as f***.
Only 2 more years after this season. If we're in the playoffs by the 2026-2027 season then he stays for the run and goes to free agency after. If we're not in a playoff spot he gets traded by the deadline to a playoff team. Maybe he even re-signs here for a cheaper deal. Same thing with Gallagher.

Gotta give it to Josh he’s playing good out there. Using his speed and size, being aggressive and winning puck battles. Complete change from last year. Hopefully he keeps it up!
Can't expect a player of his ilk to go all out during tanking seasons.

I really like Anderson even though he hasn't been productive at all. He has shown the commitment and intensity, unlike Dvorak, Armia and Dach.
