It’s a shame Scott is always injured. He was the goalie I had the most faith in in becoming an NHL regular one day for us.

Hopefully Woll can stand his ground and be at least a solid backup one day.
Woll will either be a top end #1 tender OR he will flame out of hockey .. he will never be a backup tender .. it is just his personality and playing style .. he still needs to learn angles and positioning of pro hockey .. if he is smart enough to do it then he will be a great #1

This 1000%

I mean 2 games is a small sample size, but you have to appreciate how solid he looked especially last night especially his positioning in the net. He was super poised.
Hutchinson plays like he's wearing oven mitts, not a fan at all.

Woll emerging as a solid back up would be huge for next year. The guy was neck and neck with the likes of Oettinger and Swayman pre-pro, hopefully it just took him longer to translate.

yeah i couldnt make sense of the headline either. just watched the jubilation of the team saturating woll with water bottles
Yeah that was great to see. Kid must have made a good impression on the squad, looks popular.

What does that twit mean, 'Sunday scaries: cured"?
Sunday scaries are what come on Sunday evenings when you realize the weekend is over and the work week is staring you right in the face. The Leafs twitter must have felt seeing a happy moment like that would take the fear away per se. Nice moment, but didn't cure the Sunday scaries for me. I hate Sundays!

Thanks.

Should Woll start against LA?

No. Soup's been playing well for the Leafs, I think he should be rewarded with facing his old team on Wednesday. However, I have no qualms with Woll starting Friday against the Sharks, and if he does well, give him the nod against the Ducks on Sunday.

I don't know much about him but it's easy to root for a homegrown guy. Been a while since we've had a young goalie to back.

The last time the Leafs drafted/properly developed and didn't trade a goalie prospect was Potvin back in 1990... speaks volumes about how much the Leafs stink to high heaven when it comes to goalie development. I hope Woll can be a rare diamond in the rough, need to stay the course with him.

James Reimer didn't happen. He was just a figment of our imaginations. Just because some of you guys thought he sucks, doesn't mean he does. Might want to look at the NHL goalie stats, cuz he's at the top of them this year and is a career .914 goalie. Almost 400 games in the NHL now, career .914 goalie.

Probably Reimer as the latest.

Oh come on lol! He was a decent backup for the Leafs, who had 1 decent season in 12/13, he was not a starting goalie for us, and really hasn't ever be. Nothing against the guy, I always liked him, but he just simply wasn't that decent of a goalie, far from horrible though, I'd say he was an above average backup.

Injuries slowed him down
