That's what Mike Palmateer was like. His athletic talent is obvious to see, but he's one of the more jumpy goalies they've had in a while.
He can make both hard saves and easy saves look difficult.
I'll have to take your word on that; I didn't see him. That's what Mike Palmateer was like.
No way I don’t see itThis generations James Reimer. Can get hot for stretches but there's always something holding them back from being a viable #1 option. He also reminds me of Reimer quite a bit in terms of playstyle.
Reimer is a WILD comparison literally not the same at all. A couple of bad games have people going full looney tunes hereNo way I don’t see it
Woll's more athletic, but he has that same tendency of playing small in his net at times and suspect puck tracking ability. No way I don’t see it
Your opinion makes sense then cause last year his comparable was price now your saying it’s Reimer that’s two different playing styles I would more say he plays Bernier if you wanted to chose an ex leaf comparable and even that’s nutsWoll's more athletic, but he has that same tendency of playing small in his net at times and suspect puck tracking ability.
In any case their career arcs thus far are quite similar.
Tbh, I'm not really a fan.
Don’t bank on it.Some of Joe’s moves last night… I almost pulled a groin.
He’s really going for it… hope he wins tomorrow night.
Leafs put a 3-0 series stranglehold in his lap and he manufactured an OTL out of it.
Might have to change the "freaking" to another f word soon.
He was not even close to average dude. He f***ing sucked ass.He wasn't great last night, but he was probably average, he had no shot on most of the fluky goals that went in, he was certainly nowhere near as bad as some seem to think, he was no worse then the 10 million dollar guy at the other end of the rink and the loss is not on him. He had a .964 SV% last playoffs, he had a pretty good season, just pathetic and embarrassing that so many so called fans are throwing him under the bus today as if he was a piece of garbage, and not an important part of our team.
Some of you people have the memory of a goldfish and have forgotten how Woll played like an all-star in game 2, if not for that the series would have been tied 1-1. Hoping for a big game from him tomorrow night. GLG!!
I would say pretty dam high. His confidence is completely shot right now. What are the odds he gives up 5 next game? 4 or 5
I don't know about playing like a "clear backup" but you're right in suggesting he wasn't playing up to his regular season standard. Even so, given that league average for goalies this season is around .900, we can say that he's been playing like an average goalie, not playing like a "clear backup" as you suggest. That's just nonsense. So many deflections from playing a system where you try to block everything, it is bound to happen occasionally.
He has still played poorly and needs to step it up, but a lot of bad bounces too.
The starting goalie was also playing like a "clear backup".
We would have lost game 2 if he was average, and he wasn't terrible in the last one either. He was not even close to average dude. He f***ing sucked ass.
We would be up 3-0 if he was average.
