Nolan was the one that showed some spark compared to Clifford and AA, I believe injuries have slowed him down. I'm still surprised that Kyle Clifford is on the roster and getting paid more than million.

I'm a little surprised. Despite what you might think about Nolan, he isn't slow and has above average hands and energy for a bottom 6 player. Figured he would be kept at least until his deal ran out.

Nolan is often injured and doesn't give the consistent effort you see from Clifford.

Andreoff still has a lot to prove.

He can always say he was better than at least the 8th, 18th, 23rd, 27th, and 29th picks in his draft year. Plus other higher round picks as well.

I actually do hope that this means that Auger is being taken into consideration as the 4th line RW. He's performed very well in the preseason thus far, utilizing his size to his advantage, winning puck battles along the walls, and also being a net-front presence.

Probably the biggest Nolan fan here but he's been essentially useless for awhile now. Stopped fighting as much and is always hurt.

If this is shocking, it is only because it is always a bit of a hit when guys from the Cup teams move on. Love the guy but he is replaceable.

Wouldn't say this is an Andreoff or Nolan decision since Andreoff doesn't fight either and also can't stay healthy.

If MacD is going to make the team, the Kings don't necessarily need to carry another "fighter" for the 4th line.

I'm not surprised. Nolans' job is to protect his teammates, but he stopped doing that. Since the 2013-14 Nolan has only had 16 regular season majors, compared to the 36 Clifford had. Nolan to me was the better fighter of the two, but Clifford became the more willing + better overall.

Bummer. He showed flashes of skill, but just wasn't consistent. His effort was the same way.

I will be surprised if he isn't picked up, he's got a good pedigree.

I felt like Sutter neutered him. And now he just cant stay healthy.

Completely agree. I'll be shocked if he's not claimed.

I love Nolan, met him at the Santa Monica mall awhile back and was very nice and took a photo with me.

As others stated, the best fighter on the team, but also the most unwilling. There are times he has lined up against players like Reaves after the Kopitar elbow and didn't even look at Reaves. His best years for fighting and scoring were 2012-13 and 2013-2014, 8 and 10 fights those years including pre-season. He played in 7 playoff games in 2013 and in 2013-2014 season had a career high 10 points.

The last few years he stopped fighting and doing much of anything really.

Wow I'm disappointed, if Auger replaces him then cool, but between Clifford , and Andreoff, Nolan has the most skill. Surprised they'd waive him instead of Clifford and andy.

Good to see that they are prepared to shape the roster on merit, rather than on players having one way contracts and being waiver exempt. It had to happen, a shame as I liked him, but a good hockey decision. I just hope it's not the last 'tough decision' they make.

Good man Jordan Nolan

I will miss Jordan Nolan. He gave his best. He could skate and he would stand up for his teammates when needed.

Good luck Jordan, wherever you go next (but try to avoid the Ducks)
