Jordan Nolan sucks: Kings lose to Boston 3-1

Same generic responses. At this out someone needs to drop an f-bomb. Anything. You can't pick out one post game from another.

Whatever +/- is worth, the last time Kopitar was a minus for the season, was the last time the Kings missed the playoffs. He's a -6 so far. He's -12 on the road, which is 794th out of 807 on nhl.com. Carter is a -11, which is 785th. Down there with a lot of various players on the Oilers, Sabres, Coyotes, and Hurricanes, who are, of course, the 4 worst teams in the league.

The Kings may have sold their souls to win those 3 Game 7's on the road.

Their souls? Nah, just the 2014-15 season.

Yeah, Sutter seems very matter-of-fact about it, good effort, bad result, nothing to do but move on. It's not like we weren't generating chances, they just got sticks on the tips and we didn't get to the rebound pucks...and though I'd have to see a replay to confirm it, it's not because we WERENT in front of the net, ironically, it's because we WERE in front of the net and the puck would squeak out wide or to the high slot.

Sutter isn't going to lose his **** with this team. He is in it for the long haul with this core group of players. He recognizes that to be a championship team these guys never need to be too high or too low, and that includes even if they don't make the playoffs this season.

As much of a disaster as not making the playoffs might sound, the core of this team is capable of bouncing right back and contending again next season. Some changes in player personnel are going to be made for sure if that happens. Hell, some changes should probably happen even if they make the playoffs this season.

If this road trip doesn't produce some results, I think Dean needs to be a seller at the trade deadline. There is absolutely no reason to let assets like Justin Williams and maybe even Regehr and/or Stoll go to waste when they can be used to help the organization as a whole get younger and better with less expensive players.

It might be time to return to the base plan that Lombardi preached in the past, get younger and get better.

Hey, it could be worse... we could be Maple Leafs fans.

I don't think Lombardi would not do that if the Kings do keep falling back. It's one thing to keep a team together that manages to do some amazing things on the ice. Had the Kings gone out in 5 to the Sharks last year, looking like they did in the first 3 games, not only does Mitchell walk, there's more of a chance that Richards gets bought out, maybe even Greene isn't back, etc.

It's up to the players. They now have to get more points in a shorter amount of time because they've been so inconsistent. Maybe win 2 games in a row, which they've only done once since early December.

Jordan Nolan is the difference between leading the division and being where we are. When he's in the building... RIP 2 points.

I want to call tonight a moral victory, but I just can't. There were plenty of chances to get the lead but nobody can finish with a damn on the road.

I image Quick snapping at the bench was at his team for not helping him out once again. He must of been screaming at Doughty for shooting the puck right into a Bruin with the net empty trying to dump it in. " You had one f-ing thing to do..."

Even Brown was barking at Doughty on the bench after the EN. You could clearly see him say "I Know!" Followed by an F-bomb by Brown in his direction.

Kings' required success percentage to get to 95 points (hopefully enough for a play-off position) has climbed to a current level of 62% over the past month, up from 58% at the end of December. Hopefully, they have a better February.

Note to Sutter: If you wouldn't consider the lines you are playing during a playoff game, don't do them now. Thanks.

I missed the last 5 minutes of the game, but I liked what I saw better than what was on display before the All Star break. I much rather lose a game 3-2 (with an empty net) than 7-6. I think we are starting to play Kings hockey again. The only question is if it's too little too late...
