Currently losing 2-0 against the worst SHL team. Modo who sits behind them is winning 3-1 against their opponents. If Lekk’s team loses today and Modo wins, they are out of a playoff spot, and possibly eliminated as they have 1 more game remaining against a top 6 team.

Going to be real interesting.
Natural hat trick with 3 successive Michigans incoming…

I could see him in the top six as soon as next season.

Boeser will be moved for cap reasons.
Boeser is a 0.81PPG player in his career. I get he has his doubters, but at a cap hit of 6.650 mils, it's a pretty team-friendly deal for a top-line winger. Garland would get moved before Boeser, he's making 4.950m and is playing in the bottom 6.

I'm a big Boeser fan, but I'd personally sell high on him in the off season...I'm not sold that this level of scoring will be sustainable and I'm not eager to try and re-sign him as an impending UFA.

If he is asking for like 7+ with term then we probably need to move on. His skating and effort level really worries me still.

He will have a ton of value if he can end the season with 40goals and a decent playoffs, especially with 1 year left. I can imagine protected 1st, another pick and prospect? We can use that money and add more to go after Guentzel and then use the asset we get from
Brock to get another forward.

Same. Love the person, and I've been a bigger supporter of the player than many on here. But either he's currently having his high water mark on his career, or his next contract is going to be expensive. Either way, I'd like to see more speed from that roster spot/cap hit.

But that's for the summer. Hoping for 40 this season!

How do you think Lekkerimaki would fair as a powerplay specialist for the Canucks this season? It seems to me he might be a better option than a 36 year old Kessel.

Seems like he would already be our best "Ovie spot" option, something Tocchet has seemed to have become distracted trying to find.

But I'd be shocked if he could handle 5v5 minutes at this point. I'm expecting he'll stay in Europe and be on the WC team. But if he made it over with regular season games left to play, I wouldn't mind giving him a couple games "just in case."

The guy is a top-line winger. Who are you getting to replace him? The team has Suter in the second-line RW position. It's hard to replace guys like Boeser, especially at his age. Trading him because his "value is high" only makes sense if you are rebuilding. But right now, you don't trade quality.

Uhh I said replace him with Guentzel. Or we can use the asset he returns to trade for Buch.
