Well where did I say that i was expecting more from his tweet?

I wanted to see if someone has interviewed him and maybe had a link so I could learn more about him as a person. He will be a new locker room team mate.

I wanted to know more about him and source being himself and I'm sick and tired of people assuming things and looking for the dumb posters to attack. Why in the world would you bring up that it looks like I'm coming of as not satisfied with what he said if you don't find it logical. If you don't find it logical then it has to be something else right? Being that I meant that I wanted more info than that he had twitted something right?

I thanked the poster for posting the twitt as his intensions were great but I wanted something else than a tweet. And there probably is not much more out there at the moment.

I'm 46 years old and no one in my age expects a pro hockey player to twitt his inner feelings or post more than two sentences about a trade....thats common sense.

It sometimes feels like people are looking for this and not seeing what was really said here. And this actually what periodically holds me back from posting.

Don't try to insult people when it is totally unnecessary.

I didn't, don't take it so personally. I merely said that that is how you came across when you responded to his tweet by saying "I expected more from him..." It would naturally raise the question, what could you expect more from Frattin other than what he said? Just sounds like a translation issue. There is no insult. It is why I asked and then responded to your question honestly.

Edit: Here is what you were looking for:

Patience. I'm sure it's been quite a whirlwind for both of them. Plus, they're young guys, between all the tweets and texts and calls and everything else, they've been quite busy with family, friends, hockey people, media. Be happy for them and enjoy watching the stories unfold.

This team still has the same problem it had the last few years. They have a bunch of gritty forwards, but Kopitar and Carter are the only guys that can score 30 goals on this team. There's to many streaky forwards on the kings. They need to find one more sniper for this team to be a dynasty.

Well, the team isn't exactly designed for high octane offense, they designed it around everything else and are now trying to squeeze every bit of offense left over. Kopitar has also been streaky in the past, though overall he is our most consistent forward. I think we have many young players that might eventually fit the bill, and there are not a lot of options as we are running out of long term cap space rapidly, in this age you can't have everything. All teams have weaknesses, and ours will be wingers for the foreseeable future. That still won't stop us from being a contender for years to come. Dynasty is pushing it though. Have to win another cup to even think about bringing up the discussion. The Hawks or Bruins have more say in that regard than we do at the current moment.

Scrivens better get a better mask than last years. That thing was rather dull and not very creative.

How many 30 goal scores should each team have? Think you need to reevaluate your expectations...

Oh I agree, but they never liked Carter. And a lot of them turned on Richards because they believed the crap the media was spewing out. But there are a lot of us who believed it was garbage from the start.

Yeah, I understand and I hope you don't take what I said as a shot at you in any sense. But when the overwhelming majority of a fanbase is saying something, you tend to think there might be something there. Quite frankly, I don't really care what Philly fans think of Carter. He's ours now and I'm ecstatic about that. He's exactly what we needed - a goal scorer with speed. Add in the fact that he's good enough to play on our 1st PK unit with Richards and you've got a hell of a player.

The condition I want to know about is when does Toronto have o tell LA if they are taking the 2014 pick or giving it to LA. At that draft? Ahead of it? Right at the pick?

We just went through this with Columbus. I BELIEVE Toronto will have up until their pick to decide if they want to give it to us in 2014 or not. If they have a guy they really like at that pick, they'll keep it and we get their 2015 2nd, regardless of where it is.

Totally random but I'm glad our new backup wears Vaughn. I respect goalies less if they wear any other brand and I'm not even kidding. And if you wear Reebok, I question your intelligence. Their goalie gear is such absolute and utter ****.

Its too bad goalies don't follow Niemi's lead and put more dead guys from history on their masks. Quick would sure look good with Geronimo or some Japanese internment camp prisoners being bombed by an F15 Eagle.

Yeah if you wear one brand you're a Nazi racist you know. American Apparel support the American way, white phosphorous for everyone, buy an Apple and watch a TED talk you're on the cutting edge.

I'm neutral to the Kings but I wanted to post this here because I can't make fun of Leafs fans on the main board. You guys won this trade big, not even a contest. Frattin was actually a scary player on the Leafs, one of their few real bright spots, so who knows what they were thinking.

The funniest part is seeing the delusional Leafs fans pump themselves up as only a delusional Leafs fan can:

"yes!!"
"our GM is a genius"
"brilliant move."
etc...

To be honest you are under rating bernier big time. I wouldn't say we won this big time but very happy with the return.

I agree that Reebok gear overall is low quality but what the pro's get is custom hand built to fit stuff. It isn't the same thing as they sell at all.

I see your point though, they are pushing a very notoriously poorly made brand of gear in my experience. I don't blame the players, every nickel you don't pick up when you have a chance is one you don't have to spend after hockey. You remember every single of one of the opportunities that you don't cash in on, that is for certain.

Vaughn makes good goalie gear or that is what my friends where mostly and they seem to like it. There are other exceptional brands out there though.

Planned obsolescence, even for pro's! Thank you oh glorious cutthroat capitalism. Now back to Big Momma's House 3...

I had a RBK pro model blocker. For one year. And the padding on the side of it ripped. RBK is ****. Vaughn hand cuts and sews all their pads in North America. Plus I've actually found rebound control a lot better with Vaughn pads than RBK ones.

Yeah but your a goalie and by definition you are crazy.

I used to get a ton of rep stuff from everyone to try out (nice work if you can get it) and send notes on or send back after a year so they could do a quality control check. I had these lime green Reebok gloves one year that were supposed to be their "pro quality" model.

My left fingers poked through the leather during a shot after about 8 games. Just junk. I sent em back and they sent me another pair that lasted about a month longer. I had never had that happen to me before. Their stuff seemed poorly made to me.

Best so far for me has been Jofa Bauer and CCM for the most part. Odds and ends for some other stuff but I always seem to have a bunch of those things around.

So, having an opinion on a specific brand of gear equals planned obsolescence? I don't see it.
You use gear allot you get an opinion on what works.

Of course we should all go back to planed wood shin pads and making our jerseys out of cotton grown in our own back yards but the man has us down so..........

RISE UP MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! ALL HAIL THE PROLETARIAT!

ONE OF US ONE OF US GOOBLE GOBLE GOOBLE GOBLE ONE OF US!

;)
(I couldn't get the sarcasm emoticon)

As odd as it is for me to quote this post of all of them in the thread...

Kings fans, don't call him Scribbles. I've asked him about it before. He doesn't like it as a nickname. Scurvy is his actual nickname but Leafs fans repeatedly ignore it

I've never quite understood the culture of referring to the players by their nicknames. Just his actual last name works for me.

Nerny to the Leafs for Fratt the Bat and Squivy Wivvy plus a 2nd in either '14 or '15 and $500K of cap.

It just sounds odd when not coming from a colleague. Am I the only one?!

THEY SENT NERNY TO THE LEAFS!!!

I HATE SQUIVY WIVY!

NOOOOO!!!

Yes, I see your point but it doesn't really bug me. I prefer initials so I am a whole new problem.

You don't know how many times I wanted to punch Kings fans in the face any time they called Avery "Puppy."
