Absolutely devastated to hear this news. I feel gutted, heartbroken.

My condolences to the Gaudreau family, and to the entire Blue Jackets organization.

Aww, man. Sending love out to the entire hockey world right now. Especially to the Gaudreau family and Blue Jackets organization and their fans. This is just the worst. Saw all the stuff swirling on social media last night and hoped for the better news this morning. Just in shock.

riding bikes with his brother. Cars slowed down for them but a drunk driver decided to pass everyone hitting both

Jesus, what a tragedy. As someone with young kids, stuff like this really hits home and makes you think about his wife and young kids left behind, and how their world was completely turned upside down overnight.

Nice article by the Columbus Dispatch, where they're focused on the important stuff:

Not to pile on, but it also looks like his sister was supposed to get married today based on her Instagram story. What was supposed to be one of the best days of her life is instead marred by a horrific family tragedy... :(
