That poster is skewing the truth by leaving out context. Giordano was taken in expansion, if we moved Giordano, Seattle would have taken Kylington in the expansion draft. When Brodie was left to walk, we signed Tanev to a better contract than Brodie got and then Tanev was so good that we had too many defensemen to protect in expansion.

It’s like John Tavares all over again.
A star just walking and the team getting nothing in return.
We are probably going to see the big name players moving a lot more frequently.

Isles were fine when Tavares walked, Blues were fine when Pietrangelo walked. Often it’s the best thing for a franchise to turn the page. Flames fans, just know you’ve already gotten the best out of Gaudreau, and his next team is going to regret signing him well before the contract ends.

Your opinion. The team and management are a train wreck, but he grew up a huge flyers fan, and is best friends with Hayes. also has his buddy TDA there now. That’s clearly been a draw for him, as well as the geographic location. I don’t think he really cares all that much about winning. If he did, he’d open up his list of teams beyond bottom feeders of the Metro.

I also don't think Kadri wants to return and play in Canada. Especially after the online shit he had to put up with. It definitely didn't all originate here, but I think he likes the anonymity of playing in the US and only living in Toronto during offseason
