Did Adin Hill piss on Johns shoes or something? I’ve never seen a head coach with so much bias and favouritism towards one goalie.

Adin Hill will be traded this summer. Guaranteed.

Hill was one of the worst goalies in the NHL this year, so it should shock nobody that Torts didn't want to put him in net.

I doubt Torts hates him. He's the main reason why Torts got the job in the first place.

I think Hart will go down as one of the worst starting goalies from a cup finalist in the last couple of decades. On par with only Khudobin, Leighton and Martin Jones. And Khudobin was only the guy because their starter was injured. The Leighton cup finals team had a revolving cast of goalies from what I remember.

Yes, Andersen was bad, but Andersen is at least a has-been. Hart is a never-was.

Alright, Coach Reilly.

Hart was not the reason why the Knights lost this game, so pretty amusing that people are dunking on Torts here.

Hart was one of the reasons why Vegas lost. Hart posted a .940SV% in the first 3 rounds and was the candidate after Marner to win the Conn Smythe. Going in to the cup final, he was the best goalie in this playoffs, even better than Dobes.

Hart made big saves and at key times in Rounds 1-3. He couldn’t sustain that performance to the finals. I think he looked fatigued and needed a break. Playing every 2nd night for 2 months is extremely difficult on any goalie.

But also Vegas air tight defensive system, keeping the president’s trophy Colorado to the perimeter in Round 3 to 4 straight wins was completely absent in the cup final. I think Vegas just ran out of gas. The wear and tear caught up to them.

Adin Hill was one of the worst goalies this season.

had the 3rd lowest sv% this season on a team that was 7th in PK% and on the top half of teams in GA (12th)

Hart was solid until the finals and was in the Smythe conversation even if not the main guy for Vegas.

I'm not sure a goalie change would have saved them. Hart was not the reason they lost game 6.

Let’s please help Torts retire!!!
I wonder if Vegas passes on bringing him back and promoting their AHL guy (long since been the rumor that he’s been being groomed to be their next guy) if they’ll hold him hostage like they’ve been doing with Cassidy for months?

In all seriousness, I don’t think Torts is under contract for next year, so they cannot legally do that after July 1st.

Martin Jones was solid in those playoffs. Khudobin was also pretty solid in his cup finals run playoffs.

But these are all goalies who had rather forgettable careers. Khudobin was in and out of the NHL until he was about 30 years old, and Martin Jones never had a competent season in the NHL after he was 28 years old, save for a season at the end when he was basically a third stringer.

My ranking had nothing to do with their play during their cup finals playoff years, but their overall careers in the league. It’s very easy to forget Martin Jones and Anton Khudobin were cup finals starting goalies because their careers were pretty unspectacular in comparison to almost every other cup finals starting goalie of the last 20 years. Not because they had poor playoff runs in those years.
