Not serious on all three. Brassard actually had the lowest even strength production of all three.not sure if serious

Torts' reputation was different coming in. At some point he decided that we should try and win 2 -1 every night.
I love the "Blame Sather" crowd.
As if its the GM's fault Torey Krug turned into Doug Wilson and Ryan Callahan turned in Stan Smyl, and the penalty kill for three weeks mirrored the 1990 Nordiques.
This young roster is fine.
You're crazyCall me crazy, but this Derick Brassard debate doesn't have much of a place here.

Renney also focused heavily on the players who were defensively responsible but who had no ability to light the lamp. Torts' reputation was different coming in. At some point he decided that we should try and win 2 -1 every night. If we hire another coach of that mind then nothing will change. However, if we hire someone who will tolerate some odd man rushes against to allow for some skating and flow, this roster (with a few replacements) will flourish.
The Rangers asked Torts to change his style. Bring on an assistant for the PP. Torts refused or management didn't believe he would change. That's what usually happens. Torts is too stubborn. Some of that probably happened here. The players got sick of him. They told management.
Dont be fooled for one second into thinking this was strictly an on-ice decision. Sather is a cunning snake of a GM who has used coaches as shields for 13 years now.
Sather can say that Brad Richards was Torts' idea and he has to clean up that mess now to the tune of a $25M check from Uncle Jimmy. Trouble with the media? All Torts' fault, a new coach will clean that up. Regressing from last year? Not my roster, it was Torts' system.
If Dolan wasnt a ****ing idiot, he'd ask Sather for a comprehensive plan going forward and Sather would have jack**** to show him.
My frustration goes well beyond Tortorella. This episode is on repeat. No plan - just another scapegoat.

Brassard is easily a top 6 center, no questions asked. If anyone disagrees provide me with a list of 60 better centers than him.

I'll quote myself for good measure. Please discontinue.
2-1 after a shootout, no less!
Whens the last time the Rangers had a Torey Krug-like breakout? The drafting and, specifically, the roster management have been horrid for years now. But yea, thats the coaches fault. All 5 of them, including Sather himself once.

More likely... If Dolan gave ****. Which he doesn't.
My choice is former Ranger Dallas Eakins, currently coach of the Toronto Marlies of the AHL and widely considered to be the best coach in the AHL
13 years is too long I agree, but what has Sather done LATELY that people didn't like? don't say Richards unless u didn't like it AT THE TIME
He did? Explain this. This is the ****ing meme that gets thrown around here about Torts. It is a bald-faced lie. Plain and simple. He has not, in his entire tenure here, kept a good offensive player from playing at or above their potential.
Trade deadline acquisitions:
Brassard: Increased his production when he came to NYR. Kept it going through the playoffs. Top scorer in the postseason for the Rangers. In both the regular season AND the playoffs, he was at about a point per game; far exceeding anything he has produced in his career.
Clowe: Also increased his production when he came to NYR. More than doubled his point pace from when he was playing with SJS earlier in the season. This continued until he was injured.
Dorsett: Didn't play until the playoffs. Didn't do much, but wasn't an offensive dynamo before either.
Moore: Plays defense. But also got involved in scoring in the few games he played here.
So, uh what? Stop with this ******** please.
