Looks like it was Claude Giroux in March of this year, currently sitting at 926 points.

I dont remember a massive media blitz when giroux hit 900 points. Or a thread from a fanbase with a persecution complex.

He'll get his due when he hits 1000, like everyone else. If he had done something miraculous and was the 10th fastest to the mark he would have gotten deserved recognition.

he scored more goals than Gretz did at 16 in the OHL and he has been living off that for over 15 yrs . lol

The greatest 16 year old hockey player ever.

He's still be an elite player for a lot of his career just not the level people thought.

He's a 8M player or so making 11M which sucks.

Has had a good start this year but unlikely it keeps up.

He's definitely hall of very good level but probably not a HHOf player which is dispoaitning with how his junior career started
