Hey guys... actually felt compelled to make an account to express my shock that Stevens actually moved Carter to 3rd line and Wing. Probably just what the guy needs at this time - And has to be impressive to anyone that views Stevens as Sutter 2.0?

Are you going to point out what criticisms we offered which turned out to be wrong?

No, but what I will say is that offering such harsh criticisms after THREE games is ridiculous and childish. And I think I've already said that...

We are Kings fans, nobody should know better than we do to NOT base an entire seasons prediction on what is accomplished in the first 10 games. Maybe it's a carry over from the lack of success in pre-season, but people around here need to relax. It's October 12th for f***s sake.

Semi-pleased with the start so far. Beat two teams, competitive in the other two games. Done without Brown, Quick, Vilardi, Brodzinski. It's not pretty, but the results are pretty good.

If the Kings can resurrect their power play and stay on the positive side of the ledger, that's pretty good. They get Brown and Quick back in November, hopefully.

Damn, I totally forgot about Brodzinski. Man, it’d be nice to get Brown, Vilardi, and Brodzinski back but be able to keep JAD and Wagner in the lineup. Doubt Stevens will sit Thompson or Clifford though. Lewis has been pretty rough too, but I have faith he’ll turn it around.

Except he's already sat Clifford.....problem is not enough roster spots to get Brown, Vilardi, and Brodzinski back and keep JAD and Wagner.

Does Brodzinski have to clear waivers if he's sent down?

He's 25 and turns 26 in July, he needs to produce when he comes back. If he comes back after Vilardi and Brown, he's on the fourth line, too. I think Stevens is in love with Thompson's face off in our zone. He has a freaking 94% dZS so far through 4 games (29.9 CF%), 12 mins avg ice, and 55% at the dot.

The power play... its literally worse than in years past, which I didnt think was possible. The guys look TOTALLY LOST. No clue what they should actually be doing. Makes no sense to me why its such a problem.

God Tier Avatar.

It's so impressive that I actually believe it was by mistake. A poor line change, which Stevens is great at.

Seriously, during the PP we should just be rolling our normal lines, to keep it simple for this bunch of goobers. Its just a 5v5 scenario with a magical amount of open space, have fun. He threw the 4th line out there and they actually had a good sequence.

i found an adjective to describe la kings new-born identity:

opportunistic.

key elements:
- result matters most,
- to win with a bad play is always better compared to lose with a good play,
- priority right now: just get into the playoffs.

some damn good teams practice similar stuff.

from a spiritual aspect guys are taught to stay alert & focused & 100% in contact with the result of the game. and that's very important.

just get into the playoffs.

The management of the Kings has gone from thinking a cup contender is a team that imposes their will to one that is opportunistic? Oh man.

What's the likelihood that Stevens and Nachobar get canned this season

Easiest stretch of games in years and we've found a way to go 0-for-infinity on the powerplay and just get slaughtered in possession and chances night after night. Can't wait to see what we look like vs. playoff teams.

Better be some serious soul searching by the organization over the next couple of days because rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic only lasts so long.

So, how about this instead of launching Stevens into the sun, we get the old band back together, put all of them on a space ship and sling shot them around the sun back to 2012. As a hockey fan they can put 2011-12 through 2013-14 on a loop for me.
