If Moore replaced Girardi on the powerplay, I think Danny G would almost sigh in relief. It's not his forte. Being a defensive stalwart in a Tortorella system does not necessarily mean you have an offensive touch on the point, or that you are a good safety valve when the points are pressured, which they simply are all the time when the Rangers are on the PP.

Moore's been a great pickup but he's a left side guy--Girardi's a right side guy. What are we arguing about here? That Moore should go over on the right side on the pwp and Girardi sit on the bench? Maybe just maybe the coaching staff who have been ratcheting up Moore's confidence since he came here about a month ago don't want to put him on the other side when we're up a man yet.

He is definitely a keeper
Really impressed so far
If Skjei and Big Mac develop next year (hopefully Noreau in a few years too) we might see a pretty big trade in a year or two - involving our current D core and adding younger skilled offense
Time will tell

Great game by Moore tonight. He was doing exactly what NYR has needed on the PP - get the puck, one time it to the goal, no hesitation.

Through his first few games as a Ranger, I was pretty impressed with his physical tools — but, I found myself questioning his poise, he always seemed a little nervous and physically outmatched on the ice, despite his 6'3 stature.

The past few weeks, I think he's been as poised as any player on our defense. He looks extremely confident in himself out there, and he is making great plays nearly every time he steps on the ice. He can still get tossed around at times, but he looks a lot stronger and can recover when he's physically outmatched with his great skating.

He's also using his shot more, and it's low and accurate. He's always had a great outlet pass as well.

This kid's got some pretty nice upside. If he gets stronger, we're looking at a first pairing defenseman, in my opinion. That's huge.

Fehr's a ******. You mean to tell me he didn't see that puck hit the netting before he decided to finish that unnecessarily late check?

Staal back and Moore's increased minutes kept Girardi at 22 min and McD at 20 min

Finally got PP time ahead of Girardi and did not disappoint. Very poised with the puck, which is a rarity for our players.

Figured I'd come chime in here and say that this kid is a good one. To run the PP the way he did after there has been so much public scrutiny about it not just takes skill but composure. Was impressed. Difference between today and the last game when Pierre was stressing that the Rangers just need to get the puck to Girardi so he could take his big shot (WTF) was night and day.

Well, Girardi does have a cannon. It just always goes 10 feet wide.
