When will our organization learn that we need puck movers and offensive dmen who can be a threat? We must acquire the most offensively inept dmen/forwards in the entire league. Sick of it.

Not exactly an abundance of those players available in today's NHL.

I was thinking that. He would have to trade one of his stay at home LHD if this is the deal he makes. We both know this is all he does and will have his press conference and say no one was available, yet 2-3 other LHDs will be traded that fit the Habs needs better. f***.

We play like 4 games a week for the next month and currently our #6 D options are Leskinen and Ouellet, we need reliable defensive depth. This helps our depth for a low cost and given he is on a cheap contract it doesn't hold the team back from making other moves.

We have one solid pairing this season in Edmundson-Petry. Who's gonna play with Weber? Where is a RD partner for Romanov?

At least he has been decent this year unlike Staal, but getting an upgrade on Kulak/Mete wasnt difficult. Incredibly disappointing that this is going to be the dman we get since we wont trade Chiarot, but totally unsurprising.

yeah I won't be pleased if this is the only move, but I'll admit it's good value. It just doesn't move the needle.

FWIW, someone on TSN690's been talking him up. I think it's McGuire.

If he's better than Mete/Leskinen/Ouellet it makes sense. If he's better than Kulak it makes even more sense.

How is it even an accomplishment being better than Kulak? That's not a standard any team should aspire to.

Kulak though, is a good skater. He just has trouble with the puck sometimes.
