He sure thought he would be with all those inspiring let's gos and come on reds.

Weise was talking about how the habs had such a vocal team during his first tour with the habs. I'm guessing that would include Weise, Prust, Subban, and gorges.

In his 2nd tour, Weise mentioned how the bench was so quiet. It's either a league wide trend, or the habs have lost that energy along the way.

Weber as a silent captain sets the tone and how does he lead by example with his skating these days?

Is Weber a vocal captain on the bench or in the dressing room? Who's the vocal guy in our room that can lead by example .... other than Gallagher?

LMAO I didn't even know we made this trade until just now.

I was wondering why Bergie hadn't made a trade for a Drewiskie like d-man yet, turns out I'd just missed it

Top 3 in the NHL or on a top 3 on a team?

Norlinder without a doubt.

Harris and Struble can with continued to development,

Guhle won't be at that level but better than anyone not named Petry in our current configuration.
Guhle is the top prospect of this group easily. Struble is a wild card who can go either way. The other two will never play a game for the Habs.

Merrill will wear #28:

Honestly red wings fans and non Habs Media people seem to like him. He was playing 20 minutes a night on Detroit and has a positive +/-. To me that's impressive.

Also he is going to be our 3rd pair right D with Romanov since apparently he plays both sides well.

Chiarot 6'3 - Weber 6'4
Edmunson 6'4 - Petry 6'3
Romanov 6'0 - Merrill 6'3

You hear that sound? That Nostrils paying half his salary getting his back fixed at his chiropractor. Cause gosh darn it we've assembled a gold medal winning cross checking squad.

Which for some reason is legal in the playoffs.

We may not be talented but God D*** that's gonna be painful to go against over a series.

I'm excited about him, but have to see him first. MB's been getting better with these D he brings in from the bin. But it hasn't always been an upward trajectory.

If we stay healthy I think you're right with that lineup. Obviously a big if given the nightmarish upcoming schedule. That said, I think Merrill gets a chance next to Weber until Chiarot comes back. Decent skater and will be trusted more defensively thank Kulak while maintaining that size advantage that the staff seems to enjoy on the Weber pairing. So he will at least get a short opportunity in my opinion to put some pressure on Ducharme to keep him there.

Manon Rheaume on TSN690 said she spoke with the Red Wings' equipment manager, because she lives in Michigan and coaches girls hockey and the Red Wings help them out with equipment and other such things.

She asked the Wings equipment manager what he thinks of the trade. He told her it's a big loss for the Wings and a good acquisition for the Habs.

I fully agree and we know in the playoffs, the whistle is tucked in by the refs. We also have a few players that step up in the playoffs.

I'm curious to see what's going to happen with Romanov/Merrill/Kulak/Gustafsson

I think you're likely to see a rotation the rest of the year with Edmunson-Petry, Chiartor-Weber being entrenched as the top 4.

I don't think the D has ever been that big. I thought Romanov was over 6 foot?

My top 6 is definitely
Eddy-petry-weber-romanov-Chariot-merill

kulak

Gus.

249-8-32-40 +7
245-29-100-129 -5

Kulak is the better player?

Both averaging 3 full season in the NHL with 240 ish games, one has 43 pts average and -2 while the other is at 13 pts and +2, tell me why should I take Kulak ahead of Gus?
