John Davidson's "In the Crease with JD" (1998-99)

Back in the 1998-99 season, the NHL's website had a weekly online radio feature called "In the Crease with JD." JD, of course, being then-NY Rangers broadcaster John Davidson.

This was the basic description:

Ooooooh Baby! If you want the inside scoop on the NHL, you won't want to miss this show! Listen as former NY Rangers goalie John Davidson invites you into the crease, an area which he owned for 11 years in the National Hockey League. Each Wednesday, JD hosts a weekly reporters roundtable discussion featuring background information from the hottest hockey writers, as well as JD's "locker room" insights on the latest happenings around the League. Don't forget to send in your cyberquestions which he'll answer each week!

I'm curious if folks remember this feature? If I recall correctly, these were pretty interesting and insightful. (JD was always fun to listen to.)

I never followed In The Crease, but John Davidson was one of the regulars on the HNIC Satellite Hot Stove, a 2nd Intermission feature starting in the 1990s. Hosted by Ron MacLean, and also with Al Strachan and Eric Duhatschek, and sometimes Red Fisher (and others later).

It was quite valuable at the time, the internet was still in its infancy, and there was no significant social media yet...lots of league discussion, trade rumors, etc.
