I could be way off base with my thoughts on Beecher, this kid has the size, speed, and physical tools, and I hope the right attitude , I would really like to see the Bruins really work with this kid, still young and just a feeling he might be a late bloomer. Some players get labeled as 4th liner or a 3rd liner and everyone's opinion fall in line, I have a different take, this is a kid I am interested in seeing where he lands. .............I am probably all wet, but you never know.Really pulling for Johnny
I agree he has all the tools but sometimes they lack the hunger to be the best they can ...to me that's what really separates the JAGs from those who blossom into bigger roles ... time will tell if he has a high level hunger to elevate his game. I'm still on the fence with him.I could be way off base with my thoughts on Beecher, this kid has the size, speed, and physical tools, and I hope the right attitude , I would really like to see the Bruins really work with this kid, still young and just a feeling he might be a late bloomer. I am with you on those three, and I, like watching young guy progress and I think that these guys will never be 40 goal players, but are players that make your team better and are needed to win. Hey, they are all young enough that one of them could have that career year at some point, and we will all enjoy the hell out of them.I think our depth forwards are pretty undervalued. Freddy, Geekie, and Beecher all give you more than you can ask for at their cap hits. Get shit on pretty regularly. Then you have irrational takes on a guy like Debrusk one day someone wants him sent to Providence the next he deserves an 8 year extension.
I doubt the Ottawa guy is better than Beecher even if he wins a few more faceoffs.
Beecher has competion though we added a few big forwards that were blocked in very good orgainzations (Tampa and Col) or like Jones lots of minutes for a bottom feeder in Anaheim.
Beecher doesn’t have a goal scorers shot. And he doesn’t have a play makers vision.I agree he has all the tools but sometimes they lack the hunger to be the best they can ...to me that's what really separates the JAGs from those who blossom into bigger roles ... time will tell if he has a high level hunger to elevate his game. Refreshing view of his ceiling. If he's going to be a 4th liner then one big aspect he needs to work on is his defensive responsibilities, that's why Boqvist won the 4th line C ...Beecher was unreliable defensively where as Boqvist was reliable (albeit too slight in frame for playoff grind against heavy teams).... so I'm still on the fence with Beecher even on the 4th line... I'm rooting for him thoughBeecher doesn’t have a goal scorers shot. And he doesn’t have a play makers vision.
Beecher could be the yellow hungry hungry hippo and still not score 20 goals.
He is a fourth line talent. Having a good bottom six is what separates teams from the pack in my opinion. This turned out to be a good draft pick. He is clearly an NHL player. I will never expect more than 10 goals out of him though.
I don't know what his ceiling is, as they say. But last year, he impressed me with solid play, very good skating and not bad in the dot either. I like him and wish him well. There is likely more growing to do.I could be way off base with my thoughts on Beecher, this kid has the size, speed, and physical tools, and I hope the right attitude , I would really like to see the Bruins really work with this kid, still young and just a feeling he might be a late bloomer. I was going to post this 8 games ago but kept hoping he'd snap out of it.
Beecher has like 1 assist in his past 23 games.
A secondary assist on an EN goal. He's a black hole on offense. I get that he's doing well on face-offs, but this is astoundingly awful offensive production.
Koepke only has a point in 1 of his last 19 games (he had the empty netter).Christmas bump, 2024

Yea Beecher +3 and Koepke +10 have speed and that annoys opponents at least .Long as other teams are not scoring when they are out there I am fine with them playing.True, but he's still a +3 for the season on a team full of minus players.
I agree. Though I don't think he's quite figured out how to use his size and speed.Seems fine to me. I was never expecting much though. I think his job is to win faceoffs and get the puck into the offensive zone. Has he not done that for the most part?
He is doing his job, you are right. I say trade him and then watch him blossom.Seems fine to me. I was never expecting much though. I think his job is to win faceoffs and get the puck into the offensive zone. Has he not done that for the most part?
