Sheesh man, I am sorry. You opened my eyes. I hope once I stop posting here the good name of the storied franchise will be immediately restored. Damn... If only I knew sooner.
Everyone could use a wake-up call, I suspect your posts will already be more positive from now on.

Pretty sure he has broken fingers. I'd be amazed if he could return in a single week from that. Shocked even.

Yeah, its a fracture somewhere in that forearm/wrist/hand/fingers area most likely, that poster mis-read and mis-translated, its most likely 4 weeks minimum, more if its ligament/tendon

So pumped that he's almost back! When he's healthy, Armia might be the most underrated fwd. on the team.

A rather significant cog in the scheme of things yet gets crapped on more often than he should.
pull us back into 9th place Joel!!! hehe jokes aside, i really do like this player. brings a unique skillset to the team and his lines were always making things happen on the ice before he went down.

does he? I haven't heard much of that. Except Mrb1p being sarcastic about his upside I think everyone else think he's pretty damn good. I hope so at least. Some are more bullish on his eventual ceiling than others but other than that I feel like most are happy to have him. Interesting to see how much better he can be.

I mean people will scoff but losing Armia and Drouin was a pretty big blow. Even Mete for that long. Gally's been out not so long but that sure didn't help. They're arguably our 3 best forwards and a top 4 D.

I know what people will say 'if Armia and Drouin are your best forwards...' etc. etc. but still these guys are still rounding out and still have the upside to be very good players for us.

Yah,you're probably right. Not as dumped on as others. Get's his share though,no one goes unscathed around here!

Does stuff no other current Habs forward does and was finding his feet in a higher level role before he went down.

Sadly though, our odds of a high pick will go down once he's back in the line up.

I'd put him with KK and Poehling. They were good the last few games at pinning the other team in their zone and on the cycle, Armia would help tremendously, it could be a dominant line on the cycle.

It's official. He has traded brains with Jaromir Jagr in the offseason.

Finally see him using his linemates and moving the puck quicker instead of just playing the possession game by himself

Looks much better, kinda like the difference between Montreal Eller and Washington Eller

Nice to see him slowly getting his things together. He said in an interview last summer here in his hometown that he's trying to get back those elements of his offensive game that he had when he was drafted.

I think he was always most likely to be a solid 2nd liner with a small possibility to become a 1st line star (no franchise stuff tho). He was likely to be in the opening night roster of Sabers right away from the camp in 2013, but was injured in his last exhibition game. After that it took him all the way to WPG and change in style of play to get into NHL lineup regularily.

It has been speculated that the wrist injury he got in that camp wasn't treated properly and that it should have had a surgery right away.

Anyway, he was drafted as a skilled goal scoring winger (he broke the points records in Liiga as a 17 year old if I remember correctly), but something happened after that injury. So I' m just hoping he starts to net his golden chances more (he had a wicked wrister and was lethal between the dots, especially on PP).

Edit: and in WPG he was already setting his linemates golden opportunities 1 to 5 times a game, but he was playing with Matthias and Lowry and whatnot, so that was a factor to his point totals too. Wasn't scoring his own chances either though.

If he's going to be able to consistently show the offensive side of his game it would be fantastic for us.

I think he's basically found money even as a 30 point player. He has quite the unique style of play. I don't think I've ever seen a player so effective at disrupting plays with his stick.

i think he is a type of player Montreal has badly lacked and badly needed for a while.

So, just to confirm..... he very well could have had a wrist injury to start the season and he came through with goals from the slot, well, just like that?! He seemed like our best scorer for a stretch.

The man is a horse. A proper Horseman. Flair would be proud. Wooooo.
